Chapter 1 - The Day Sameer Went Missing

At first it seemed like it was another sunny day of this extremely hot summer season; but for sameer's family, this turned out to be the worst day of their life. Just as usual Priya(Sameer's mom) went up to wake his lazy son, she saw the room was empty. To her surprise, she assumed that out of the blue, her son was already awake and was downstairs in the bathroom. Then, she went in the kitchen and started preparing breakfast for their family. After a few minutes, Ajay(Sammer's dad) and Tisha(Sameer's younger sister) came in the kitchen for their breakfast.

"Tumhara laadla kaha h? (Where's your beloved son? )", asked Tisha. "Batroom mai naha rha hoga(In the bathroom having a bath)", replied Priya. "That's not possible. I've been in bathroom this whole time. There's no way he could have been there with me", Tisha said with confidence. "As a matter of fact, when I went to his room a couple of hours ago, it was empty", Ajay said while eat eggs. Priya was confused. She yelled "Sameer!" 3 times, but got no answer. At this point it was pretty clear that he was not in the house. Pirya got worried. This is something pretty unusual from him. He was a shy yet a genius gentleman who barely had any friends to hang out with; still he used to tell his mom about everything he used to do or whichever place he used to go to. So it made her think what could be the reason for such an odd behavior. She called Sameer's one and only friend Joshua to ask about his whereabouts. Surprisingly enough, even he didn't knew about that. This was unsetelling. Ajay tried calling him but the phone was at home only. At this moment, the tension around the house was imminent. They went and asked the entire neighborhood and everyone they could think of; but after hours of failed attempt, they still had no clue about where he went away. The local police searched the entire town and all the neighbouring cities, but found nothing. There was no trace of where he went or who might have abducted him. It was as if he had vanished into thin air.

Days turned into weeks and weeks into months, yet no one knew what happened to Sammer. His entire family was in anguish. Priya was just not ready to accept the fact that Sammer was gone. She even started blaming herself for what happened to him, thinking that it was her failure as a mother. No matter who blames whom, it was a given that Sammer's family had accepted that he was gone forever and could do nothing besides carrying on with their life while being in severe pain and agony. They just had to life with the fact that he's not coming back; ever.

Somewhere else, our Sammer wakes up after having a long and sweet sleep. "That was a nice sleep", he said to himself. He tries to get up from the bed; but he sees that his hands are chained to the back of the bed. He's confused thinking what kind of stupid prank had Tisha played on her. But then he quickly realized that the bed he was sleeping on was not his. After looking around the room, he realized that it's not his room; it felt and looked more like a prison cell. He was distressed. He tried to get out of the chains by pushing his legs against the bed, but to no avail. Now the anger was imminent. He was still thinking that this is some twisted prank being played on him. But what was waiting for him is enough to blow everyone's mind. He started yelling and banging his legs on the wall nearby insisting that someone should come and get him out of this chains. His yelling worked, someone was unlocking the door of the room. Sammer was relieved thinking that all this nuisance is coming to an end. But it was no person who walked into that room; it was a 4 feet tall robot floating in mid-air with giant electrical arms. Before he could interpret the situation, the robot electrocuted him back to sleep.

Sammer then again woke up. This time he was not on the bed. Instead, he was on a floating carriage with his hands tied to his back. He was being carried somewhere. He tried to speak up, but his mouth was shut with a device. After a few minutes, he came inside a giant floating stadium from a large entrance. Surprisingly enough, everyone started cheering him the moment he entered the stadium. It was at this moment he knew that he was very, very-very far from his home, and also in a different time period as well. He could see that the carriage was taking him towards a giant portal situated at the centre of the stadium. He wasn't the only one in that situation, there was a carriage behind him holding another man hostage like him and a carriage in front of him with a lady hostage. As soon as that carriage touched the portal, it vanished. He knew that this portal was carrying them somewhere worse than the place they were already at. Using all his brains could think of he tried getting out of that carriage. He started jumping as hard as he could. The carriage got unsettled, the plan was working. After a few more attempts, he was able to turn around the carriage. The power supply of the carriage was switched off and his tied hands were now free. He then started running towards the nearest exit thinking that he'll soon be free. But in a few moments all his hopes got crushed. 2 Robots identical to the one he was before came rushing towards him. He had fast reflexes as he was a soccer player in high school and was able to dodge them the first time they came towards him. But the robots were too much of a match for him. After all the hardwork and dodging, he was eventually caught. The robots then speedily took him towards the portal and then threw him. On the other side of the portal, Sameer was freefalling from the sky into a jungle. He was in terrible shock. "I never thought I'll die like this", he said with tear in his eyes. He closed his eyes and started praying knowing death was imminent. He then crashed with a giant tree and then he's falling on the ground doing backflips after hitting every branch and then 'Bang!', he hit the ground hard but was still alive.
