Chapter 1 - Prologue

A girl was sitting right next to the study table. A bunch of crumpled papers are scattered around the room, making it looks more messier, with a pile of clothes everywhere. On her bed, at a top of a chair and even on her study table. At one glance, one would think that this is actually a teenager's room not an adult room.

She sigh, yet again. Maya has been frustrated about how to start her new book. There has been a lot of ideas going through her mind. If only she has a reference, inspiration or just a fixed one main plot, this is why she hates being indecisive.

"What are you sighing about in this broad daylight?" asks her sister who went inside her room, casually kicking off the papers that has been on her way through the room. She's holding a tray of foods in her arms. Her sister has been like this for days now.

"I don't know what to write" Maya let out a dramatic sigh before closing the notebook she has been torturing since earlier. Her laptop was also closed.

"Well, forget about that for now" her sister said and handed her a sliced green apple.

"I finished cleaning the other rooms, the new tenants will move in tomorrow I guess" her sister continued. Maya nodded, not really interested. It's been a long time since the other rooms in their two-storey house has occupied by someone else. Well, there were their now dead parents that once lived there, but since then no one wants to moved in there. Rumors says their house is haunted. Haunted my ass! Maya rolled her eyes when she remembered the gossip around their town that has been going around since forever. Now, at least someone would finally live there.

"Ah the cute boy will move in?" she asked, still not interested. 'They rent the room, they pay' was just her mindset about it. Aside from having a person really moving in that room, finally, because everybody thought it was haunted, there's no actually a real reason to celebrate it. Damn, she still has a deadline to catch. Now that's a real problem.

"You did thought only one person will move in, didn't you?" asks her sister, raising a brow. Maya nodded, with a face of 'wtf', because she remembers seeing a cute boy in their house a couple of weeks ago to check the room. "There's another one?" she asked which made her sister rolled her eyes.

"Yeah the other one would move in next week" Maya shrugged and open her notebook again. 'What are you doing?– the cute tenant asked when his bulky and handsome roommate pushed him on the bed, panting and looking at him in the eye. The cute little boy gasped helplessly when the other guy's hand gently touched his lips before slowly licking his bottom lip...' Maya didn't know what to write next on her scratch. Her sister reading what she wrote, shaking her head.

"What's he like?" Maya asked, still thinking what to write next. "He looks like he go to the gym once a week" her sister described the guy and added "Oh and he has a lot of moles on his face"

"Where is Natsu?" Maya asked referring to their little brother. Arah rolled her eyes, and Maya knew immediately where was he and what the heck is he doing again. He's studying again, God damn. The boy's not doing anything except studying. And there's Maya and Arah, slacking off. Sometimes they think they really don't deserve their younger brother. He's very obedient and do nothing but studying.

Once, she and Arah confiscated all their younger brother's textbook and papers, bought him a playstation and told him to take a break from studying and just play. The poor boy didn't have supper at that night and spent the whole night sulking because they won't give him his textbooks. The boy didn't even unwrapped the playstation for damn's sake!

"Did he even eat?" Maya asked, concern. Her sister said yeah before leaving the room.

Hmm she just wish the new tenants wouldn't be aloof and get along with them. Or just their younger brother. He needed a breather damn it. Maya never saw her brother inviting someone in their house, never saw or heard him talking to his friends on the telephone. He just locks himself in his room. They'd be lucky if the tenants would befriend their brother, well hopefully.

Dragging a large luggage, a young man finally stopped walking and look at the house infront of him. Man, that was a heavy ass luggagae. His back and torso hurts from dragging and lifting his bags. He could just call a taxi but he don't know how to commute.

Well, this is the place. The place where he would stay temporarily. Just for a month. Or maybe two. He sniffed. He already missed his parents, he wanted to go back. He shook his head. He can't go back now. He can do this, for his parents. He composed himself and pressed the doorbell. Now too long after, there was a girl who opened the gate for him. She has a big smile and he felt welcomed in the house. Then, he stepped forward, ready to experience some good things and learn lessons in life.
