After spending nearly 5 hours doing menial and/or life-threatening tasks to earn as many skills as possible, Atlas felt as though he promptly need a nap- as the constant rings of the system was pushing his already non-existent patience to its absolute limit.
'I hope after today I never have to look at the phrase 'ever-so slightly' ever fucking again'

After awakening from his borderline hibernation, his phone's alarm alerted him of his church gathering that he had previously planned to attend. Grumbling, he kicked off his sheets after multiple tries and sauntered over to his dresser where he threw on the first clothing articles he saw. The thought of actually dressing presentably briefly occupied his mind, and left as quickly as it came. Glancing over to what should have been his shoes, what Atlas saw instead were tattered fabrics in the general shape of a shoe.
'Have my shoes always been this bad?'
Putting on the shoes was a separate struggle, as the soles and tongue were falling apart- likely due to traveling at higher speeds than they should have. Before leaving the house, he opened his Status Window to gaze upon the fruits of his efforts.

'So this skill is why I've been adapting so quickly and so easily to the system. Seeing how it's a max level skill, it's not from Aptitude. So it's probably a freebie skill the system came with. I'll just stick with that for now. On the other hand, I see the mastery of Mercurial Talaria has gone up a bit because I stacked it yesterday. '
Walking up to the church's front door was nostalgic yet melancholy, as he remembered an equal amount of good and bad memories here. Pausing at the entrance, he doubted himself as to whether or not he should enter. The event was a decadal one, one that he hadn't attended since shortly after he passed the fifth grade, so he was conflicted. On the one hand, he could meet some old acquaintances-but on the other, he had to talk to some old acquaintances.
'Ight let's just go for it.'
After steeling his resolve, something that was probably not necessary for such a menial decision, he grasped the door's handle and opened the door slowly yet confidently. As soon as the door opened, he was immediately flash-banged by the system once again with the sheer quantity of notifications that popped up- far more that he thought possible- to the point where his vision was completely blocked out.
