Chapter 158 - The Wheel of Fortune

Going of the Rider Waite tarot deck.

The Wheel of Fortune can be a good luck card or a bad luck card. Especially with Jose. You have four corners of the card, in the top left you have an angel and the right upper side is a bird. Maybe the angel and the bird are connected. At the bottom, we have a bull with wings and to the right a lion with a book plus some wings.

The lion is minding his business it seems while the bull watches him or taking his leisure.

One more thing, the wheel. We have a snake, a devil, and a sphinx.

Angels are symbols of guidance and messages. In military operations, birds were used for messages. So the two are linked in this way.

Another interpretation of the angel and bird can be heavenly versus the bottom though they sit in clouds. A bull is known for its anger and dislike of the color red (a myth). A lion reading a book reminds me of wisdom also reading rainbow.

Ther lion has a book. Lions symbolize (google) majesty, strength, courage, Justice, and military might.

Lions collect in prides and are pretty family-oriented. The female and male take care of the hunting and if the female can't then the male takes over. The male lion is there to protect and provide.

Lion prides have a bit of extended family, being some aunts to help with baby care.

But to see a lion reading a book. The book has symbolism that isn't just reading. (google) knowledge, imagination, truth, beauty, escape, and love.

Love is strange but that could be about poetry, the power to weave words to express desires. That's ironic.

In the last chapter, we find some more things about Simona. Not only is she not Dayshia's daughter but a stolen baby... twice.

The lion symbolizes military might and it is reading. Is the lion looking for a plan?

Then we have the wheel. Wheels hold cycles and this is the author's interpretation. Not everyone is headed in the same direction. We seem to be going back and forth. The Egyptian sphinx (google) represents Ra-Horakhty, a form of the powerful sun god, and the protector of temple doors.

More irony.

But if the wheel is turning right and left, I don't think the Sphinx can keep balance. Then you the demon and snake. The snake has more advantage in the wheel turning, he may never fall off. The demon seems to be turning the wheel or following it. He may never fall off.
