Chapter 151 - Five of Pentacles

The Five of Pentacles in the Rider Waite tarot depicts two people. One person is using crutches and the other is shielding themselves from the cold.

The pentacles or the coins are on a window. The building specifically is not mentioned but one could guess it to be a church.

A church could offer help in the form of prayer but one needs to walk right while the other is freezing but if he's cold then the one walking on sticks is cold too.

They're both struggling.

In the book, July is struggling, Jose is struggling as well as Chickie, Dayshia.

The theme of the Waorshippers is asking God for help however the tarot shows these people either leaving or looking for the entrance. Much like how seeing a half glass of water, if you see it half empty, you're a pessimist. If the glass is half full, you are an optimist.

To see them walking away from the church, the church themselves are full of hypocrisy. For God means to assist and care while offering sympathy.

To see them go into the church, the church is holy and with kindness. The people have found hope.

On the window, there are five coins. Five symbolizes curiosity and adventure. We don't know what these people have been through to be in the shape they're in.

There is a sense of unknownness around the card as well as sadness.

The two people may not be together. The cold one could offer his shield or help the man walk but both are equal in terms of struggle.
