Chapter 45 - Chapter 43: Bloodshot

"Teoría de drácula? Abuela, los monstruos ya no se esconden debajo de la cama..."

Toda faced Thankful and kicked her, "Exactly, now shut up. Get ready for the trip to Maine. I have errands to do. And bodies to snatch."

"What trip?" Emygdia glared, "I'm not letting you take Agradecida anywhere!"

"Yes, you are." Toda held out left. A colorless glow shined from her palm, "Usinicas-hahike."

Emygdia froze in place, Thankful bolted towards her but Toda held her back. "abuela!" she reached for her, Emygdia could only view the small girl crying. "Let my nana go!"

"She's not your nana," Toda mocked, "She's basically your half sister at his point." Toda graded the sides of Thankful's face, squeezing her cheeks. "Now you listen good, little taco. We are going to Maine, and you are going to do as I say!"

"Eres mala! Eres mala!" she bellowed. "I don't care," Toda sung, "Your a witch. And I have the perfect job for you. I'm going to make you a lytch. Dios sabe que los niños te chuparán la vida."

"Estás usando el historial para iniciar una adquisición!" yelled Thankful. "No soy tu muñeca!"

"Oh, shut up..."

"Class turn to page 36 in your history textbooks." announced the teacher with her yellow hair tied in a braid over her shoulder. A student rose their hand, "Ms. Craith about the Left and Right Hand Project. Are we supposed to study Amhal Manor on Old Rectory Corner?"

"Oh no no," she waved her hand dismissively. "Students you do not have to check the haunted manor for this project."

"I already did... plus people say it had a witch in it," claimed a student sitting in the way back of the classroom. "I did a paper on the manor."

"I did too," a boy raised his sheet of loose paper. "Her name was Aghna O Amhal-Iweala."

Another dark-skinned student drummed across his desk, "Bro, I heard about her on that new website."

"BrainSociety?" declared a girl with red hair. "I don't go on there. People is weird, somebody came into my inbox and asked me if I wanted to sell my blood for the cause."

"How much they offer?" inquired the black student. "He told me he'd give 900 for a pint of my blood." She replied.

A scream weaved in with the crackling of abrupt weapons. Speeding feet against the beige tile floors. The bustling of the classrooms door hitting the edges of the wall. Bodies dropping, again the blast from shots. Students in the classroom could hear the bullet roar, zipping down the corridor into a student's shoulder. "I'M SMELLING RED!" yelled the assailant.

Ms. Craith hurried to raise the windows and ushered the students to stand up from their desks. "Ms. Craith!" the moment the blond schoolgirl spread her lips. A bullet claimed the side of her face, shooting off a quarter of her head. Her body hit the flat.

Pelayo showed through the opened door, a goat mask over his head. "Habla usted español o Inglés." His words seemed slurred; Ms. Craith stood frozen for a while. Looking at her alarmed students, she had no idea what to do. Another boy, with feathery hair chimed, "Yo hablo español."

Pelayo studied the gun, the weapon didn't jiggle as it targeted his forehead. "¿Sabes dónde está tu tumba?" His trigger finger activated the chamber in the gun, releasing death. Though the young man knew what was happening his body couldn't react quick enough. "¿Quién es el siguiente?" He dug through his right pocket, pulling out two more bullets. "¿Estás listo para el desfile negro?"

One down. Two Down. Five more. And Ms. Craith.

Tomas went from one class to the next. Throwing a grenade in a class with three girls and two boys. One male holding a knife and the other with his fist raised. The grenade hit the boy's foot, he kicked it away, but it bounced off a desk leg. Few seconds went by, the first grenade went off, the teens stepped back. Tomas threw another ball of death, hitting the boy with his fist up in the face. It fell to his feet and soon took his ankle. "I was hiding that one."

Down below, Ezio and Toda took care of the first floor. Ezio shot his gun as a person raced down the stairs. A boy behind them hurried up the ladder and fell backward with a bullet in the back of his brain. "How many bodies we got?" Toda raised her voice from the main school office. "I couple of hundreds." Ezio put his weapon in his hip pocket. "Good thing we went around locking the doors beforehand."

She smirked, dragging a female behind her as she came out of the office. "Where did you put Thankful?"

"The brat is in the bathroom." He said. "She sure is helpful, gave us fake names and everything."

Toda licked her lips. "First time in my new body and I got to drink."

"How you feel?"

"Thirsty… and horny. Can you do something about that?"

She stepped towards him, pulling him close to her breast as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Ezio hoisted her up by her back thighs. "I didn't know I'd be this much in love."

His eyes shimmered, "With Pink?"

"Something like that…" she patted his back. He set her down and examined her red dress and perky breast. "Well, let's pack the bodies into the truck."

"Out back," he tilted his head. Toda grimaced, "What? Why behind the school?"

"Authorities…?" Ezio said matter of factly. "Are you stupid in your new skin? All Pynked out?"

"I'm not pink—sorry, I mean nigga language."

He rolled his eyes; he knew better than to argue with a racist. "By the way are you white or Hispanic? Toda blinked, "I don't remember. Something about soul searching."

"Soul searching?"

"I got put in a trashcan. Died from some starving vampire."

"Oh…" he grinned. "Or at least I thought I did. What does Green mean?"

His grin faded. "Green?" He had never heard of such a thing. "Never heard of it. How many bodies do you need for this little project?"

She took a blunt from between her bosom. "I want a Hole."

"You want to make vampires or kidnap people?"

"Both," she lit the blunt with a lighter in her sock. "Let's grab what we got and head outside. The school isn't near a neighborhood but still…"

"I told you we should have raided nearby houses." Ezio shook his head disappointed. "Someone probably knows." She pulled out her phone and texted Emygdia.

ThirstDay: Where the fuck are you?

Curious: In the fucking car Blanca

ThirstDay: Bitch!

ThirstDay: Have it running. We on our way out.

Curious: Negro wannabe

Toda sneered at her phone and directed Ezio to go retrieve the child. "Make sure you put handcuffs on her." She reminds. To Ezio, he once again rotated his eyes, damning her under his breath. "stupid fucking…"

He traveled down the hall to the left, went down a short set of stairs, and enter the bathroom to his right. He called out to her, "Thankful! Agradecida!" He didn't care. The child had magic on her and that was a worthy thing about it. He wasn't obsessed like Toda or Zhaire. Why he fucked around with vampires was a mystery. Cause he hated them.

He counted the number of times he wanted to choke Toda in her sleep. One day, he said, one day. He pushed open stalls, no child. He felt a breeze brush his arm, above him a broken vent with a body inside. "Aw, that's cute." He smiled. "You had your first bite…"
