Douxie POV:
"We spellcasters should be fleeing to the wild wood not slaving away for that fool" Morgana argued
"Mind your tongue, Morgana, you speak treason against our king"
"I speak truth, after all Arthurs done, why build this amulet for him?"
The two went back and forth and Laylah and I entered the room. I stood there and watched as Laylah took a book of the self and opened it. I wasn't sure what it was but she seemed rather interested about it.
"Gunmar's war is a threat and the amulet with end it"
I look around the room to see the time map on a shelf. I slowly walk over the map.
"Aloochan Gloria Meia!" Merlin changed but the pieces on the amulet flew everywhere. I ducked so I didn't get hit by one.
"Blast it all!"
"Hisirdoux, stop gawking about give me a hand with those raw ores over there!"
I groan. "Apologies, Master"
Laylah looks up as I walk away. She places the book back on the self and walks towards the two spell casters.
"How many more failures before you realize this amulet is pointless?"
"I hear your concerns, but trust, the amulet will bring peace"
"At the cost of all we hold dear" Small objects around the room start to float up in the air. The edges of each object are golden magic.
"How long before he comes for us? You're a fool merlin, and an old one at that"
Morgana walks out of the room and Laylah sadly watchers her go. I wasn't sure why.
"Oh, forget her we got this right!
I put my hand up in front of Merlin as a high-five
But of course, we were 900 years before the present so Merlin wasn't familiar with this type of gesture.
"What is this strangeness?"
"Put your hand down"
"It's a high five. It's a sigh of victory amongst barbarian tribes" I reply convincing Merlin otherwise
"It's- It's a new thing"
"Human customs are terribly odd" Archie adds on
I walk over to where all the objects that where in the air before were on the floor. So was the time map. I was just about to pick up the time map when Merlin used his magic to pick up all the object and put them into a magic safe.
"You don't seem yourself today, Hisirdoux, well except for your inability to tidy up"
"No more distractions, go milk the slorr"
"But I-"
"Dismissed"
"I'm very impressed at how remarkably bad you are at impersonating yourself" Archie said to me and I walked out of room. But I turned around and looked at Laylah. She was still standing there looking at the blue prints for the amulet.
"Laylah?" Merlin says which makes her jump.
"Yes?" She answers
"Everything okay?"
She nods with a smile "Yep"
She saw me looking at her. "If you want I could help Douxie? I mean you don't want another mess to deal with, do you?" She chuckles
I was slightly offended but chuckle.
Merlin laughs.
"Yes, well we don't want that"

Laylah POV:
We were walking to the shed where the Slorr was kept.
Not one of us had spoken in that whole trip. I wasn't sure why. I hope I didn't offend him with saying that.
"Sorry Doux I shouldn't have said that" I manage to say
"What?" He says as we stop and look at each other
"I'm sorry for saying your clumsy?" I say again
"Oh that! No, no, no it's okay! What? Did you think I was mad or something?"
I nod
"Ohh well, I'm not don't worry. But I am worried about you" He manages to say
I was confused. Why was he worried about me? As far as I knew I wasn't in any danger or anything of the sorts.
"Worried?"
"Yeah, is there something on your mind?"
I wanted to say yes and be honest with him. Douxie had always been there for me and we had so much in common. Like that we were both orphans.
"Ye-I mean no..." I say
Archie and Doux look at each other not convinced
"No Doux I'm fine really!"
But I didn't feel just ready to talk about it… not when we are stuck in the past 900 year ago
Douxie smiles. "If say so"
I just realised that both of our faces where really close to each other. Douxie and I both blushed and we both took a step back.
"Uh..." We both said at the same time
We were both embarrassed
"Let's go" I say walking along the long passage way
"Yeah..." Douxie sighs
We arrived at the Slorr's cage.
Douxie unlocked the cage and opened the big metal door. He turns and looks at me
"Aren't you coming?" Douxie asks
I chuckle
"What's so funny?"
"Douxie I asked Merlin to come with you and keep an eye on you never did I say that I have to help you and besides that stuff reeks I'm not ruining my shoes to that stuff" I say pointing to my shoes.
Archie looks up at me
"Really?"
I shrug
"If you were a woman you would know" I said honestly but I tried not to sound rude. But like trust me do you know how hard it took me to save up for these shoes.
Douxie laughs nervously "Okay, here it goes"
"Hey girl, just goanna, just goanna come in for a quick milking"
"Just going to be one little squeeze"
But as soon as Douxie said that the Slorr starts to spray blue liquid everywhere. Archie takes cover under a bucket while I hide around the corner.
"No,No,No! Aah! It's in my mouth"
I felt like I was about to puke. The thought of it was revolting itself.

Douxie POV:
"I, uh—I forgot how much I hate milking the Slorr" I say looking at my hands which was stained with blue liquid.
When Laylah opened the door, Steve was laying down on the ground groaning.
"I think Lancelot broke my everything" He said trying to move
"I'm glad I'm not you then Steve"
"Laylah!" Archie says
"What? It's called honesty"
I grab a rag from the basket and wipe my hands to get the stench off. I chuck the rag down on the ground.
Laylah looks at me and giggles.
"What? What is so funny?" I ask
"Douxie you got a splodge of Slorr on your cheek" She answers
I was about to accidentally touch it when Laylah stopped me
"Woah Woah Woah Mr! Here let me get it"
She grabbed a new rag and used it rub it off.
I looked into her eyes as she did it. I had to admit without Laylah I don't know if I would be the wizard I am today.
She just finished wiping her cheek when she looking straight at me. We both blushed as we were so close to each other.
We both turned and looked at Steve. He was on his back facing the wall. We turned back to each other.
She smiled and I smiled back. We both leant in closer. But before something could happen Claire rushed into the room panicking and we both separated.
"We have to change history! Arthurs had enough! The trolls are going to die at sunrise!"
"Oh Blimey balrocks,, how are we supposed to stop this and stay inconspicuous?" I say looking out the window. I was trying to make sure no one saw how flustered I was
I think Laylah was doing the same thing since she was covering her face a lot. Steve had finally got up and was standing next to Claire.
"It wouldn't be a problem if I just had my shadow staff"
"I know you said to lay low but we can't let Jim die." Claire protects
"Yes, Let's see what this future Douxie is capable of" Archie says standing on two legs and tapping my head.
"Your right sod the rules, it's time for a dungeon break!"
