"...or not." I said, depression on my voice as I spoke to myself.
What I saw when I opened the two doors was much more worse than I could have ever imagined.
Madness. That's all that this was. Going to High School, especially this one is complete and absolute madness. I started to step backward as every student in the giant commons area turned their head towards me and gave me devilish glares. Perhaps I should come at a time when-
"Where do you think you're going?" Kira asked, skeptical of my actions.
Goddammit Kira! Why of all times does she have to be here to stop from something now. Of course, her stopping me from doing crazy stuff was like her main talent, and I guess I should be praising her for it.
I looked over my shoulder to, one last time, try and take in what horrors were behind me.
Every single male, except a select few, in the commons was terrifyingly fit and muscular. Some of them looked like they came straight from an italian mafia and were here to "avenge their baby boy." This place was far too dangerous for me to stay. Was the place absolutely beautiful? Yes. Was it as awesome as I imagined it to be, looks wise? 100%. Were the students friendly people? Well, one of them is approaching me and Kira right now, holding what looks like a knife.
...
Hold on one second, a knife?!?!
I spun around again to face Kira and tried every way to escape a certain inevitable death, but Kira placed both her hands on my shoulders and stopped me from escaping. I quickly looked behind me to see that he was still coming closer.
"Kira, listen to me, you gotta let me leave! I'm going to die here!!!" I whisper-shouted at her angrily.
Kira looked like she was confused by my words, raising one eyebrow. That was when she looked behind me and saw a large man approaching. Yes! She noticed! Now she will let me finally leave!
Except the funny thing was...
She continued to stand in my way, and she had no intentions of leaving.
It was here that I heard the movement sounds of hundreds of other students. I slowly looked over my shoulder, horrified of what I imagined the sounds to be, and sure enough...I was right.
All the other students in the commons has gotten up and started approaching me and Kira who were clearly blocking the futuristic glass entrance double-door. I wanted to scream. Actually no, that's not what I wanted to do, instead, I wanted to cry. Unless Kira'll stop me from doing that too, my eyes have started to water slightly.
The students were all right behind me now, and the first one who had gotten up grabbed me by the arm.
"NOOOOOOOOO!!! Wait! I still haven't lost my virginity yet!" I shouted as the students pulled me backwards and gently out of-
Wait, gently? He grabbed me gently? He didn't break every bone in my skinny arm?
The giant man lifted me upwards like Simba from the Lion King, showing me off to the rest of the commons room. Oh god...I'm going to be publicly executed!
"Everyone welcome our brand new student, Thomas Wilson!!!" The giant student shouted for everyone to hear.
His deep, manly and masculine voice reverberated throughout the entirety of the commons area. Once he finished speaking, all of the students began to give a large round of applause.
...Eh?
So...I'm not gonna die here? I looked over my shoulder at Kira, who was leaning up against the door frame, giving me a dumb smile and a thumbs up. I rolled my eyes and growled. Leave it to her to not explain to me that there was an opening ceremony for new students.
Once the giant man put me down, he took my hand and shook it very gently, as to not hurt me, and gave me a large friendly smile.
"My name is Solomon Garnet, the student president for our luxurious school! It's very nice to have you here Mr. Wilson." Solomon said with delight on his voice.
This is awkward. Solomon, a giant man who looked like he could snap me in half like a literal twig, just shook my hand with every bit of cautiousness and kindness. I don't really know how to react to this kind of welcome, so, to try and ease the tension, I gave a fake smile back and nodded, also ignoring the fact that they somehow knew my first AND last name.
"Y-y-yeah! It's v-v-v-v-very nice to be h-here!" I stuttered nervously, holding my fake smile.
Solomon laughed heartily and put an arm around my shoulders, pulling me in, this time, without holding back. Every bone in the upper half of my body pop as he pulled me in.
"No need to be so nervous Thomas! Your step-sister told us all about you before you even came to our peaceful state of California. We have been excited to meet you ever since she told us!"
What did I expect? I should have known Kira would have told everyone about my arrival to California. Right when I finished my thought Kira came up from behind and stood next to me, still smiling. Then, something strange happened when she stood next to me.
Everyone in the commons bowed at Solomon, Kira, and I.
Seeing a whole bunch of muscular and large men bow to Kira was a very strange sight indeed. I looked at Kira, confused and she turned to me and Solomon, who bowed his head briefly before lifting it again.
"Uh, Kira....?"
"Yes Thomas?"
"....why is everyone bowing to you?"
Kira giggled and straightened her posture, putting one hand behind her back, and outstretching the other to the large group of bowing students.
"I'm the elected student queen of Neo Future High School. Me and Solomon here are in charge of everything that happens to the school, isn't that right Solly?"
Solly huh?
"That is right Ms. Kira."
Wow. So this school which I have just been introduced to already has a group of leaders that oversees everything that happens. I couldn't lie to myself...this was all VERY cool.
Solomon had let go of my shoulders and clapped his hands together hard, which led to every student standing up straight again in unison, splitting into two groups, making a path through the middle of them.
"Come, Thomas. We have prepared a large banquet for your arrival." Solomon put one hand forward towards the open path, motioning for me to go through.
This school really is amazing! I haven't even been here for more than 10 minutes and I've already gotten a banquet prepared for me! I couldn't help but smile dumbly to myself as I proudly walked through the open path between the students.
While I was walking, I took a moment to look around at the school's commons. The walls were techno blue with narrow long engraved neon green strips carved into them stretching from one end of the wall to the other. On the ceiling there were multiple futuristic looking chandeliers that glew a bright blue light from them. Blue was really the color scheme of the entire room except for the floor which was black and white, so I decided to skip looking at the colors and decided to just take in the atmosphere. The floor was in a checkered pattern and looked to be like it was brand new. I had noticed my reflection could be seen through the floor, showing its cleanliness. These burly beasts around me were able to keep this place so clean on their own?
"Not exactly." A cold, intense, and stoic voice said from behind me.
By the time I had heard the voice, I had already exited the path that was between the students and had come to another set of glass double doors. I turned around to fully face the owner of the voice and came face to face with the scariest student here. It was a tall, thin white man who wore a black suit, blue tie, and white undershirt. His hair was a reddish blackish color which was neatly combed, aside from the bangs that sat in front of his face. His eyes, which intensified the more I stared into them, looked bluish gray, and forced me to try and avoid looking into them as best as possible. His posture was straightened to the max and his hands were behind his back. His suit was far nicer and much more high quality than mine was, and his white undershirt was also much more white than mine should have been. A certain aura of intensity shrouded his body, making anyone who looks at him immediately give respect.
Seriously, talk about horrifying.
The man crooked his mouth into a frown and lowered his eyebrows. This man was far more scarier than any of the other students here, despite his lack of muscle. I couldn't quite see why he was so terrifying though. While I was trying to figure this out why he was so scary, Solomon came up behind me.
"Thomas, this is Oliver Whitesnow, our schools number 1 final decision maker and financial provider. He's in charge of approving or rejecting any final decisions that our student faculty team comes up with."
Oliver stretched out his hand, offering a handshake.
If there was one thing I didn't want to do here, it was get on this guys bad side. I instantly took Oliver's hand and shook it. Oliver chuckled deeply after he shook my hand, and when he let go, he wiped his hand off on his suit.
"It's a pleasure to finally be meeting you Mr. Thomas. You're sister has told me a great deal about you. All of what my superior has told you is true, I, Oliver Whitesnow am the sole benefactor and outcome decider for this school."
Oliver's voice was calm and stoic, but with a hint of coldness clinging onto it.
I nodded my head and kept my arms by my side.
"Yeah, it's a pleasure to be meeting you as well."
There was a moment of silence after my words, and, to break it, Solomon pushed walked in between us and put a hand behind both of our backs.
"Well now, let's not forget the banquet we have prepared for our new student!" Solomon turned to all the other students "Everyone, come! Let us feast together on this momentous occasion!"
With those words, he and Kira pushed open the double glass doors and welcomed us all into the dining hall.
