Chapter 4 - IDFYL 04 : A Decision

"Akbar, do I look old?" Asked the tall man.

Another man called 'Akbar' turned his head and wrinkled his forehead. He's about the same age as the guy who talked to him tonight. His name is Akbar.

"So what?" Said Akbar who did not understand the meaning of his friend.

"I just wanted to ask. Do I look like I'm old? There is someone who calls me 'Sir '." Said the man.

Akbar laughed while holding his stomach.

"Hey, why are you laughing at me?" Asked the man.

"Hahahaha.. I didn't think anyone would call you that. Is that what you call a child?" Akbar said while still laughing.

"Not a child. I didn't just meet a woman at the mall. I helped her carry her shopping. When she said thank me, she called me 'Sir '. Do I really look old?" Said the man.

"Oh, that's the story. I think you're just a little bit older than the women out there. Because you have a mustache and a beard. You're actually kind of cute. But you're not good at taking care of yourself. Change your appearance immediately. Just shave that mustache and beard. Women prefer a man's smooth face without mustache." Akbar said a solution to his friend.

And the man who had long spoken with the akbar nodded in understanding and thought that tomorrow morning should follow the great advice.

Ardian Putra. More intimately called Ardi, but liked to be called Putra. Twenty-six years old. Ardian is the first of three children. He was born in a reasonably capable and mild-tempered family.

Ardian's appearance was quite simple and interesting. His skin is not white but is a bit yellowish. Tall and contained. And now Ardian works in a company as part of employee mutation.

Akbar patted softly on Ardian's shoulder. "Hey! Please don't overthink it. Just relax. You're young, too. You have charisma. Now you might as well work on your employee mutation list. Tomorrow will be discussed in the morning meeting." The great words reminded Ardian.

Ardian's friend Akbar also worked in an office with Ardian. They're just different divisions. Ardian is in mutation, while Akbar in the klate is responsible for the overseas mail of the company to meet together and to create an agenda. They've been best friends since school. So they can now work in one common company.

Nadira writhing lazy over her bed. The night-light on the small table near the bed was already lit. Nadira looked at the clock and still said three in the morning. No wonder the sky was still dark when Dira looked through her window.

Dira blinking her eyes. "Ah, today's Thursday." Nadira muttered quietly. The girl seemed a bit troubled and had a lot on her mind. Dira sat down and positioned her pillow to be leaning her back on the mattress head.

"Oh, no. Why am I so worried? In the morning I should be able to give dad an answer." Nadira grumbled softly.

"Dela once told me that if I chose to go to college it would be a burden. My time of study is certainly going to increase. It's better to be working." Said Dira. The girl ruffled her own hair so pouty and frustrated.

The girl was very confused by her own choice. Because dira feared, fearing that the choice she had chosen would make it difficult for herself and that her plan was not working.

The truth is that Dira wanted to continue her studies in Bandung, management. But while Dira seemed to have no intention of studying any deeper, Dira wanted to work immediately without a load of literature that she found to be complex to work with.

Dira massaging her temples slowly. "Many people say that the work force is brutal. Was it? But I really don't want to go to college anymore. I've been thinking about a lot of material. Well, I'll just go with work. Even if it means getting into uncle brahma's company is okay. It's better than working in my own father's company." Said Dira confidently.

But a second later she began to reflect again. Well, it's a tough choice for him because it concerns the future.

Dira prefers to move from her bed and draw the curtains of her room that immediately give her a view of the park next to her house. The girl also opened her window, so a cool morning breeze gently greeted her skin.

Half past five in the morning. Nadira decided to run the worship first before leaving her room. In order to feel more at ease when talking to Dipta.

After all, Dira's feelings began to improve and again considered her decision. The girl did not choose to sleep again. Nadira ran out of her room and chose to open the main door of her house. Then the girl sat alone on the porch.

"Are you awake?"

The speaker surprised dira. Dipta found herself in another chair that faced nadira.

"Dad.. Yeah, I'm not sleepy anymore. I just finished my morning prayers."

Hearing Dira's reply, he understands what Dira is thinking right now.

"Don't overthink the big things, Dira. Dad didn't force you to go to college either. It's just that I want you to decide right away whether you want to go to college or work. It's not good to just be in the house." Said Dipta gently and rubbed the hair of his daughter's head.

"Yes father, I understand your words."

"When I was young, I was as split as you were. But your life is yours, I have no right to force you to do as I ask. I believe you will succeed in your own way."

Nadira turned to look at her father talking. Dira studying her father's leathery skin became all the more evident every day. Every year her father is increasing in age, and nadira has had to make the right decision.

"Dad, does it have to get a good degree to do a good job?" Asked Dira.

Dipta chuckled softly. "Your thinking is wrong. Of course, many graduates are achieving and can work readily and readily. But, ability can beat all that."

Dira wrinkles her forehead. "You mean?"

"Dira, all people do not have to succeed through titles or big names. It doesn't have to be above-average intelligence either. Only by having ability and intelligent thinking and you will be successful on the road as long as you keep working at it."

Dira feels that now she has a good hunch to make a decision.

"You have the right to choose either work or go to college. Vast knowledge can be sought from any source. Dad really doesn't care that you have to go to college instead of working. It's all your decision. One thing you need to know in the work world or at school is how you strive and complete it with worship." Says Dipta again.

And after saying that, Dipta called off Nadira's head again and moved out of his seat and went inside the house to brew his own hot coffee.

Nadira still lingered in silence with an argument in her own mind. The girl didn't realize how beautiful the morning light would be in front of her.
