Chapter 3 - 2 Supreme Beings Encountered A Small Problem After They Had Transmigrated

"I predict that we are going to meet someone if we go straight towards the direction where Mortem City was located at."

Ara Brei said with confidence.

It seemed that she wasn't kidding when she got the title of Omniscient Reader and now that we were both reincarnated into this world, we both had our authorities.

I governed the authority of omnipotence while Ara Brei governed the authority of omniscience.

The will of the world or also known as Heavenly Will governed the authority of omnipresence.

So if Ara Brei said something then it should be true. As long as there weren't any unprecedented variables, then her premonition would come true.

I was also overpowered in this world and can do everything I want.

Even if I want to destroy this world, no one would be able to stop me, not even the protagonist.

I could bend reality to my will as long as I was within my 100 novel worlds.

I'm stronger than the Gods in my 100 novel worlds so I can offend anyone in here.

I observed the surroundings while I was on top of the room with Ara Brei and we were both riding a floating room that was headed towards Mortem City.

"Author-san."

"Call me Katake."

"Okay, Katake. I suggest you scout the surroundings because I felt that something off was going in here and there might be humans up ahead."

I did what Ara Brei has told me and used [Super Sense] to improve my eyesight.

I was now able to see hundreds of kilometers ahead.

I surveyed the surroundings and noticed that there were humans in iron-plated armor and had wielded an iron sword.

I thought that they were knights at first but I had noticed that they were attacking a carriage and the people inside the carriage were just some normal people.

Would some armed knights assault an average person? I guess not.

They must be some bandits or some knights that had been hired to kill the people inside the carriage.

Either the people inside the carriage were some criminals or people that had some royal blood and were attacked so that they won't endanger the position of the current king.

"Ara Brei, I found 12 knights ganging upon a middle-aged man and woman while they were trying to protect an infant that was wrapped in cloth.", I informed Ara Brei.

She looked at me and asked me what will I do.

"Well, for starters, it's none of our business. Normally, some people die while some people live. I might be a being stronger than a God but it doesn't mean I should act like one."

"Makes sense. But does your conscience allow you to ignore a murder that you had witnessed?"

That's one tricky question. What should I do if I witness a murder and do I still have my conscience?

"You might have forgotten Ara Brei that I am an author who had written 100 novels with different genres. I had written at least 10 gore novels and since the omnipresent being had said that the novel worlds were real, then it doesn't change the fact that I had killed my novel characters."

Ara Brei went silent after my reply. She was my reader who had read all of my novels and she knew that I had killed a lot of characters in my novel.

"Yeah, your right. It also doesn't change the fact that I was the one who also had witnessed the gore scenes that you had written since I had read all of it. I support your decision whether you ignore them or not but let me remind you that helping the infant will do us good."

Ah, the infant! How could I forget about that! What's the color of the infant's hair again?

I used my improved eyesight to look at the infant that was inside the carriage and what startled me was that the infant's parent had already died and a sword was heading towards the infant.

Even though I'm heartless, I'm still a human being at heart while a god in terms of power.

I would never ignore an innocent infant die just because of some stupid knights who listen to their corrupt king's bidding.

Since I had obtained this supreme power, why not make use of it while I'm at it?

As the sword's blade was 1 centimeter apart from the infant's neck, I quickly thought of what power to use in this kind of situation.

Now I know!

"Time Stop!"

As if the world was my domain, it heeded what I had commanded it to do.

Time stopped and the grass that was being swayed by the wind was still while the leaves that were dancing in the breeze had stopped from falling.

Ara Brei's time had also stopped which made her unable to witness what had transpired in stopped time.

I touched Ara Brei's shoulder and released the effects of time on her.

Now she was no longer bounded by both time and space since I had used my omnipotent power to free her from the restraints of the world's elements.

"Did you stop time? How was the infant doing?"

"You already know what had happened after I removed the effect of time stop on you, right?"

"I know that but I just thought it would fit the mood if I ask that. It sucks being omniscient you know! There won't be any thrill and excitement in my every action and if I wanted to, I could win the lottery every day!"

"Let's forget about them for now. Our utmost priority is to save the infant."

"I guess your right."

After my conversation with Ara Brei ended, I snapped my fingers which teleported both Ara Brei and me and the room that we were sitting on towards where the carriage was located at.

I looked down on the knights as if they were small ants that needed to be squashed.

I snapped my fingers which erased the existence of the knights and also the infant's dead parents.

I also wiped out their blood so it was clean that the grassy ground was now available to be sat upon.

"Time has begun to turn again."

As I had said that, time began to flow again.

I teleported towards the carriage, picked up the infant, and held it in my arms.

I removed the cloth that covered the infant and an infant with purple hair and jade-like eyes.

"What a coincidence! I'm going to name you Sharielle Zenchi! The female lead!"
