I took care of the babies for awhile to give my wife a rest. For a few hours. Then I had a strange feeling something bad is happening to one of the kids. Luckily my wife was up and awake. Back at Ada's house. Ryz was so bad that Ada had to lay him down. He was unconscious and had a fever. "Do you know why his is like this Zel?" said Kane. "No I have never seen him like this before. Is he going to be ok?" "Ada how is he?" "Well he has a fever Until we know what's wrong with him there is nothing we can do." "Oh now Brother." "Zel, Kane you both stay here with him. Since Kane is here I have something to do I will be right back." "Yes maam." Said Kane. Kane was 18 he had white shimmery hair in the sun. It was down to his back. He was the same as Kiran. Half demon. He had paler skin then Kiran did. He was maybe a tad bit stronger than Kiran was. "So Zel how old are you now?" I am 15 my birthday is next month." "Oh is that so? Well we will have to do something for it then." Zel blushed and looked away. "You don't have to Kane. All I want is for all of my loved ones to be happy and healthy. That's the best present I could have."
"Haha you never change young lady." "Well at least your not calling me little girl any more. That's a good change." "Well you will be turning 16 that is a young lady." I finally got there and knocked on the door. (Knock Knock) "Old lady Ada! Its Kiran!" "Kiran!" Said Zel. She opened the door and hugged him. "Oh Kiran. Something is wrong with Ryz. No one knows what's wrong." "Let me take a look at him." So I knelt down to his side to check on him. I touched his arms, legs, head feet hands where I saw a cut and his chest and stomach. "Ok well I see the problem here. He will be fine with a little rest and a little bit of sugar. He used his blood to help someone right?" "Yes he used his blood to help one of the villagers. One of the villagers were attacked by an animal and the wound looked like a burn so Ryz bled in the wound and it started healing." "I see. Well like I said. He just needs a days rest he should be fine. He felt like he had a little fever he should be fine in the next two days. He just needs to be careful. I will stay here until he gets better." "Thanks Kiran. Oh Kiran sorry I didn't introduce you. This is Kane. A childhood friend." "Nice to meet you Kane. I've been looking after these 2." "Well thanks Please keep looking after them. "OK maybe when the kids go back." "Sounds fine by me." So we talked and got to know each other a bit.
The next morning Everyone was up and old lady Ada came back. "I'm back kids. Oh Kiran. I thought I'd be seeing you. How is the boy?" "He's fine. When he wakes up he will need a little bit of sugar and he will be fine. It happened to me a few time. In fact just recently it happened to me. I saved my sister." "I see. So you both have special blood." "Yeah I do. I got it from my mother. She had the special blood." "Yes she was a very special lady as well. She helped out a lot around here." Said Ada. Anyways lets check on this boys temperature." She put a hand on Ryz forehead. "Well looks like his fever is gone. That's good." "Hmm. Zel? Kiran?" "I'm here Ryz and so is Kiran." "I'm here man." He slowly opened his eyes and saw everyone around. "It wasn't a dream. Kane Kiran you are both here." "I had a bad feeling something was going on so I hurried here." "I hate that curse. Since you got it you will always worry about us. Sorry Kiran if we would have known earlier we would have told you to leave us alone." "Its fine. I can deal with it. By the way where is my sister?" "Oh she is living with a specialist that takes care of curses. They are similar to hers. She will be here shortly. Ah speak of the devil. Hello Child." "Oh Hey Ada. Brother you here." "Yeah I had a bad feeling one of the kids was hurt. I was right. Luckily he is fine and woke up." "Here eat this Ryz." Said Zel. "I don't care much for sweets." "Eat it." Said Ada. "It will make you feel better. Kiran said so." "Fine." So Ryz ate it and made a face. "OK now that I know your ok, Ada I need to talk to you alone." "OK then. Kane watch over them for me." "Yes maam." "What is it Kiran?" "I know you can tell. I'm not as healthy as I was. I thought the old man cured me. I guess there really is not cure for what's wrong with me. My wife is suspicious as well. I already told her I was cured but I am not. I don't even know if what's wrong with me is from my power. It could be something else. I feel like I don't have much time left. I told the kids they are welcome to stay with Kairi if they felt comfortable. If not they had a neighbor that was willing to take them in but I think they would be safer here. They have their childhood friend here and they can visit the village with Kane any time. If Kane doesn't come around when I am alive have him ask my wife to show him around please. Let the kids also decide where they want to stay. They have 3 people willing to help them. In fact my wife has been talking about moving here with the babies if anything happened she is a strange woman for wanting that. Haha. Cough cough" "You ok there?" "Yeah I'm fine for now Ada. Please watch over the kids and have them choose. Try not to separate them ok? Please. I have to head home now. I have to take my medicine pretty soon." "Be careful Kiran." "Yeah thanks." Then I hopped back home.
Zel eavesdropped and heard every word. She went back to her brother to make it look like she wasn't listening. "Hey sis what's going on? Where is Kiran?" "I don't know where he is. He said he was going to talk to Ada alone." Ada came back and checked on Ryz. "Your looking better. You should take it easy tomorrow even if you are better." "Yes Ada." Said Ryz.
I was almost home and I starting panting. "Ha…ha…ha..Ha. I have to make it home. I am almost there." I finally made it to the door and I felt dizzy. I went in and sat on the ground. "Kairi my medicine! Hurry!" The babies were taking a nap. "I got it right here. Hang on Kiran. Please hang on! Here it is take it." I drank the medicine and laid on the ground. "Kiran please be ok. Please." "I'll be ok I just need to rest." "You better not leave me alone with these kids." Then I closed my eyes."
Back at old lady Ada's. It was getting late and it was time for the kids to go to bed. "Ok you two get some sleep." Said Ada. "Yes maam." Said Zel. So Ada left them alone as well as Kane. "Hey Ryz." Whispered Zel. "Hmm. What is it Zel?" "Its Kiran." "What's wrong with Kiran?" "He isn't doing to well. I heard he might not have much time left to live. I overheard him talking to Ada." Ryz sat up. "Are you sure?" "Yeah. I am. He wanted us to choose where we lived. His place the neighbor or here." "Well of course its wherever Kane is right?" said Ryz. "Well I wanted to help Kairi with her kids as they are still babies. Also he didn't want us to separate." "I see. He is really thinking about us isn't he?" "Yeah. Also remember what the old man said? We would know if the connection is broken. Somehow, we would know it. So if he dies we would know if the connection broke." "Your right. He must have went home because he was in bad condition then. He wanted grandma Ada to watch us he said he felt safer if we stayed here." "I'm sure he will talk to us when he worsens about what he wants us to do." "Yeah we should sleep like Ada said. It's a long day." So the kids both went to sleep.
"I'm going to sleep in the tree tonight Ada. If you need anything just holler ok?" "sigh you and your trees. Fine then just don't fall off ok?" "Haha yeah I'll try not too." So he got up in the tree and went to sleep.
The next morning back at Kiran's house, Kiran was still unconscious. "Come on Kiran please don't die on me and leave the babies." She and the babies cuddled up to Kiran and Kiran started waking up. "Hmm. Kairi?" "Kiran! Are you ok?" "Yeah I'm fine. I'm afraid if that if I didn't get the medicine in time I would have died. Hey babies." "Are you strong enough to hold them?" "I think so let me sit up first." I sat up and got ready to hold them. "OK let me see them." She handed me the babies and I started talking to them. "Hey boys. You are getting so big. You will be turning one soon in 2 months here. You are big boys. Now Titus when you get older be good to Ciel. He is your younger brother even if you are twins. No fighting ok?" Titus blew raspberries at me. "Hey Titus that's not nice to blow raspberries at daddy. EW." "Hehe. Ok I will be going out to put my feet in the river to relax ok?" Back at old lady Ada's. "Next time we see Kiran we should talk to him privately about the matter." Said Zel. "Fine with me I don't want to be the one in trouble by lady Ada." They whispered while looking for herbs. "Ok kids lets see what you found. So today I told Zel to find a goldenrod plant and Ryz to find a Calendula plant. Remember the Calendula is similar to a marigold Ryz." "Yes maam I know. I used my special eye to show me." "OK good. Lets see. Good Ryz. Put it in the bag. Now Zel. Very good. Put it in the bag as well. Now do we remember what these plants help?" "Zel go ahead. It helps the wounds heal faster by increasing the blood flow." "Very good Zel. What about your plant Ryz?" "It helps inflamed wounds It also helps fevers go down as well." "Yes among other things those are the main ones. Very good both of you. Once we learn about herbs every day we will do a review. The father lifted the boys shirt up and true enough the boy had a blistery rash." "So the boys has a fever unconscious and blistery rash. That is a sign of….No way. Did by any chance he go into the woods with his friends?" "Yes he did. He was dragged by one of his friends here." "How long has he been like this?" "About 2 hours. Does it matter?" "It does. He was poisoned by touching one of the plants in the forest. He touched the mushroom plant. It's a plant that has leaves shaped like a mushroom. I thought it was weird at first. I once got poisoned as well. Luckily I can make the antidote in a jiffy. With the body I have I can make certain antidotes pretty quick." So he used his and his sister helped metal hands and made the antidote. "Ok done. He should drink this and he should be fine. Let me double check that is what it is with my eye. Lets see hmm. Yep I was right. It was the mushroom plant." "Thank you so much. Your name is Ryz right?" "Yes I am Ryz and my sister Zel. We will be here until the end of the month." "Well welcome to the village. Kids. Thanks for helping us." "Your welcome. Oh and the girl around her we know her too. Her name is Hazel so please be nice to her and don't pick on her. Thank you." Then they headed back.
Back at Kirans. The medicine only does so much now. His body is fighting hard. Now only a miracle can help him now. As of now he is in his bed resting. He has a fever as of right now. A doctor is with him right now trying to easy the pain he is feeling at the moment. "How long do I have doc? Please be honest with me." "To be honest I don't know. My guess would be 2 months if even that." "I want to see the kids. Have someone send word to the old lady have my sister over as well. Kairi take the babies with you and get my father and my brother. No one is to tell Fawn about this until she gets better." Kairi went out to have someone tell the old lady then she went to his fathers house then the brothers after and they rushed over to his house.
He closed his eyes panting to breathe. His father finally showed up. His brother right after. "Kiran! Hey Kiran! Its your father. Your brother is here too." I slowly opened my eyes and saw my father and brother Talon. "Hey father and brother. Thanks for coming. I don't want fawn knowing yet considereing her condition. If she stresses out she could get worse. She is still young." "She will be fine we won't tell her." Said father.
