"Keep calm, keep calm, keep calm...."

A bright light, in a place so dark it absorbed light itself, kept on repeating these to words as if they were a mantra. Seemingly going crazy with every passing second. That was until there was a change in the light absorbing darkness. There appeared a book and a old pen. The book cover read "Book of Deals.". It was floating in front of the light. The speck of light was still repeating his mantra, although a bit flustered at the appearance of the book. This kept on going on for years until another change came. There next to the book appeared a suit resembling the ones used by plague doctors(The Cover but with a top hat instead, and no hood but the cape is still there but covers his back completely.), there was also a cane. There was a also a smoking pipe, and on top of that there was also a letter. It read "Plague Doctors Knowledge.". The light still although a bit more flustered kept up with his mantra. Time flew on, there kept on appearing items, be it swords, cases, etc. Then there was a door, when the door opened out came a very strange being, it had a head without facial features, it also had a business suit, other skin was red, it's hands were clawed and there seemed to be a red liquid around its head. When it appeared the light backed up to the darkness, but to its surprise, it could no longer move back. After it noticed this it steeled its will and faced the terrifying creature. "You insignificant life form, choose one and leave this place, making me come here." the terrifying creature spoke, "You can speak." said the light. "You can speak!" said the light happily, for it had not talked to anything in this dark place. "Yes, now choose one." said the creature with murder intent. "Ok!" it said although scared for it had not known someones voice could go that deep. "Why Are you not choosing one I gave you all the options you can ha- I did not explain, did I.". The light shakes itself, as of it was shaking its head. "F**k! This always happens.". "Lord forgive me for cursing, anyways this morning pace is limbo, you have to choose one of these 16 floating objects." "There is only fifte-" right then, there appeared a 16 object it was a lantern. "Weird." two voices said at the same time. "But what do they do.". "The book it makes deals but you have to sacrifice something of equal value, if you take it you will have 3 wishes but you have to fulfill others wishes for the rest of your eternal life. The outfit, you will be a plague doctor in your next life you will also keep the suit. If you take the swords it will make you a prodigy on swordplay. If you take the lantern it will make you eternal but you will have to guide souls to the afterlife. The book is going to make you work as a demon but you have to make deals with beings for equal trades or trades were you get the most benefit, also the more deals you make the more stronger you get." He continued on explaining all the objects and what they will do in my next life or eternal life in limbo. "Can I choose more then one." "No". "Please" the creature shook its head. "Then how about a deal.". The light was braver because it noticed that the creature was always staying a certain distance away from himself. So it came to the conclusion that there was a kind of barrier between them. Besides the one keeping him inside.

The creature raised its non existent eyebrow and said "What kind?"" The kind were you let me get four." "Which four and why would I." "I want the outfit, lantern, sword prodigy, and the book, the why is because I will still do my duties but it will be more efficient and I will still be harder because I have to do two jobs." "It will help with efficiency, our department is already falling behind by one soul.""Alright"

POV light.

(I really outdid myself now) I thought to myself. I first approached the outfit then the swords and after that the lantern, finally the book. "Tell me about how eternal will I be."" Well by eternal I mean you will be immortal but still capable of death, you can only die from wounds nothing else." "Oh, ok I can deal with that." I light then turned to the book to make its wishes. I wrote "1. To keep my memories." "Dammit." the creature whispered to itself. "You said something." "No, keep on going." I then wrote my second wish "2. Have telekinesis" "Interesting." I heard the creature say but decided to ignore him. My third and final wish, I have to be fast in writing it down. He started writing, " 3. No need to work." When the creature read this text. It let out an unholy roar.

ROOOAAAR!!!

"You tricked me!" "Sure did." "I swear on my name the next time I see you will suffer the consequences of your actions today, and all the souls of the people who love will suffer as well." A few seconds later a portal appeared, I floated towards it with pride of the sun. (Referencing the sin of pride, Escanor.). "Have fun." from then on there was a legend of a soul that tricked an manager of souls. When I went through the portal a sudden wave of pain hit me. Although it hurt like hell, it was still not worse than the mental torture that is being alone for years in darkness it seems to elongate with you losing your mind slowly and having to stop thinking about outside thoughts, things so insignificant, that take up space in my head and make me start to lose important things. That is enough of that sulking bullsh*t.

A while later.

3rd POV

The former light woke up from its pain induced slumbeeer, "It actually worked, haha!" it said to no one in particular. Although it did notice something it spoke weirdly, creepily, it was as deep as that strange creature. He was still deeply scared for he had thought the creature had followed him, but then calmed down he had remembered that he was completely, alone. "Well let's see if my appearance changed.".

He had noticed there was a pond a few feet in front of him, so he decided to look at his reflection, when he reached it there was nothing but shock, for he had changed completely.

He was no longer human, his head was that of a thunderbird, his eyes were like that of a galaxy(his eyes look like he had a galaxy in them.), you could get lost in them, he did not have any skin showing above the knees,(except the ears, ____[four letter word that starts with a d], ____,[b four letter word],eyes, the eyes.) those that were not supposed to be covered were covered, although his eyes were not covered. He seemed to get even more flustered at seeing his hands they were still covered in feathers but they were slick not as rough as they seemed, instead of nails he had black colored claws. His legs below his knees were like skin but a raven black, his feet were like a humans but instead of nails he had....you guessed it claws, it was also it was a good time to say that the former light, now thunderbird-human hybrid. His shins were bird skin. (You get what I mean right.....right.) He also had four extra limbs, they were feathery limbs, called wings. (His bottom pair are smaller.). His first pair of visible wings were on his lower back, and there was another limb, it was a long tail and his second pair of wings was located at toe start of his tail. He also had horns, even though crows don't have any. He was so distracted by the fact he had escaped a being that was in charge of souls. That he had completely ignored the fact he felt like he had six new limbs. (Yes, six keep on reading.). Five were visible, the other felt like it was there but not there at the same time. On another note it seemed he could change hit arms into two other forms. He must of realized what that phantom limb was because the former light had started acting smug. (The two other forms for his arms will be spoken later in the chapter.)

POV MC

(I have wings, a tail, and telekinesis, a plus is that I'm not human. Like at all.) I thought to myself, I started looking around myself. "Where is it." I said to no one in particular. But to my surprise someone answered. {Your items are ready for you to call them down.} these words were said in his head by a gender less voice. (What the actual f*ck.) "Who are you." {The world system.} "Ok, then what do you mean by they are ready for me to call them down." I said still scared, like a little b*tch. {They are in the place you were before, but when you call them down a rift in space will appear above you in the sky causing you to have to run in a direction that is opposite from this, or face strong beings from this world.} "Thanks for the warning I guess."

Although it sounded like I wasn't freaked out, but in my mind I was scared sh**less. But I was someone to follow advice so I looked around and decided on which direction to go in. Thanks to the bird part of me I know which direction I'm going. Like towards the north there is mountains and the south was just forest from what I can see, the other directions were just forests. I decided to go towards the mountains. But first things first, I need to call my things down and just book it. "Hey WS how do I call them down." {You must first train your telekinesis, to the point it can move the world by an inch,} "How the f*ck? " {And you must not have any magic aiding you, the universe is strict on its laws.} " Your saying that as if it had a conscious. Does it have a conscious? Please say no." {Yes.} " We're getting off topic," although I said it calmly I was flustered at the revelation that the universe had a f*cking conscious, but whatever. "Any ways carousel please tell me your features." {Status and basic information.....} "…". Awkward silence later. "Is that it." {That's it.}. "Ok, then how do I access the status." {By saying stats, out loud.} "Stats!" I said somewhat loudly. [Inquiry Granted](Don't really think it's the right word to use but whatever.). The voice of the system was already metallic like, but when it said this it sounded like Siri no real emotion in the words but this one was worse it was filled with disgust and indeference. "Ok"
