Chapter 7 - 7

Present day

"Is Anthony going to hurt her?!" One of the grandchildren yelled. "If you keep interrupting Sophie, I wouldn't be able to finish." The grandmother laughed at the excitement of her grandchild. She was amused to find her son and daughter inlaw listening in as well. "So the Naga what happened to him mom?" Simon asked his arms folded on her led while resting his head. "Simon I am taking a minute to catch my breath. This story is a long one even for someone of my age." She said ruffling his hair that pain returned.  He started seeing flashes of a car accident him and his family. He jumps up backing away. "Simon honey what is the matter? " The  old woman asked knowing that the spell is whering off. "My grandmother is dead we were on the way to her funeral." He said only to pass out. "Oh the biy must be tired shame he won't hear the rest of the story." She said covering up his outburst. "Now lets continue the story shall we." She said with a toothy grin.

Iris slowly approached the hooded man whom still had her heart. This however was the worst thing she could do. He takes her by the throat and pins her to the cave wall. Iris gasps clawing at his arm. He removes his hood to reveal his disfigured face. "During the war the humans were on to us. The set hunters after my men and myself. A blaze mixed with silver dust caused a permanent disfigurement. I AM NO LONGER THE MAN YOU KNEW!" He yells tears sliding down his face. "It's no wonder you are going to choose another. Your a queen ment to be a rare jule to our world.  I was to rule with you....I WAS TO RULE WITH YOU!!! YOU CHOSE TO EXCOMMUNICATE MY FAMILY! WE DID NOTHING WE ONLY WANTED PEACE AND UNITY!"  He screams throwing her to the ground. Iris coughs gasping for air. "My mother was right your nothing more than a common whore. I should not have pursued you. My family would still be alive if I listened. I was a fool in love and wanted the world for you.  When the truth is revealed I want you to know it will be you facing death not me." He said before kicking her into the reflective pool. The sympathy she had felt now vanished turning to rage. When he turned to walk out she appeared infront of him. "HOW DARE YOU LAY YOU FILTHY HANDS APON ME!  YOU KNOW YOUR GUILTY OF THE DEATH OF MY FAMILY! YOU DON'T WANT PEACE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT PEACE IS!" She screams staring to fight Anthony. This went on for several moments the to bloody. Their eyes a crimson luster nothing like it used to be. At one time Iris's eyes held love and adornment for the man infront of her. The nights she would sneak out of her lessons to be with him. The moon lit waltzes on the mulls as the two's eyes never once wavered from the other. The once love that filled the two individuals was replaced with hate and malice.  Anthony has Iris pinned "Iris....help....me" he struggles to say only to be tackled off her by Solea. Percephany was at Iris's side helping her up. "Come my queen this way." She said having Iris wrap an arm around her shoulder so she could stand. When they reached the mouth of the cave Percephany hands Iris to Jackson. "Finde Cherry and Tarry and give them this. I am afraid this is where we have to part ways. In the morning a ship to America will be in the harbor waiting for all of you. Get on it and don't look back. It was an honor to serve under you lady Clearwater.  The future of not only our kind but the rest of the supernatural community rests on your survival. We will meet again I know we will." She said before doing the one thing that could land her a spot on the execution list. Percephany kissed Iris taking the energy she had left. When Percephany pulled away she looked up at Jackson. "You better protect her she is the key to everything." Jackson nods and gets away. Percephany pulls the blades from her side pouch.

I rushed into the cave to find Solea dragging Anthony. "Did she get away?" He asked and I nod he sighs knowing what needs to be done. "To be honest I always knew you would kill me one day. Do I have time to get a stiff drink before you impale me?" He joked and I shook my head. "Sorry Solea but it has to be this way. You and I both know to much to let live. If they catch us they will use us to find her. " I said tears blurring my vision. He  rests Anthony against a rock near the pool. "Ce fut un plaisir de vous servir Clydesmith. C'était un honneur de servir l'honneur de Clearwater. Je prie pour que le jour vienne où tout le monde surnaturel soit en paix. Reste fort mon ami ce n'est pas un au revoir seulement un nouveau départ."  Solea said before leaving with me. Walking to the ledge looking over the sea it was beautiful. I hands him a vile of purple liquid. "It will push the poison faster. " I said downing mine it tastes like piss. Looking out at the ocean  holding the blade to my heart. "Je me souviens quand je t'ai rencontré pour la première fois. Tu étais comme un oisillon fragile qui avait besoin d'être guidé. Je suis heureux d'avoir servi sous deux grandes reines. Tu feras bien Iris je t'aime plus que je ne pourrais le dire." I whispered before plunging it into my heart  my ashes carried by the breeze.

"You never changed it wasn't Iris I was in love with. I was in love with you. I guess you didn't see it because you had eyes for her. " Solea said drinking the purple liquid. "Love is a very dangerous beast." He said before sliting his throat before falling over the cliff.

That morning Iris dressed in black remembering the sacrifice her friends made for her. Jackson stood by her an arm around her. "They will never be forgotten people will tell tales about the great Solea and Percephany. They will live on in History for what they were heroes to the cause." Jackson said trying to put Iris at ease. Cherry and Tarry soon stood by them. "Things are not going to get easier huh?" Charry asked making Iris shake her head. "No this is only the beginning. We will return again someday. So untill that day comes, we must push forward and make sure the sacrifices of our friends were not in vain." Iris said watching the horizon.
