Chapter 11 - SIMILAR HERDS

As I paced back and forth in front of the seminar hall, I could think of my existence as an employee had a long way down here that I'm coordinating the entire program by myself, everything under my umbrella to walk into a new sunshine here after. The HR Department have improved to the top among the American companies within last few months of our effortless effort but we developed as smart as we could by the last 4 years. I couldn't think of the progress without our day and nights spending for this day to come over.

The top tiers business magnets were assembled for the meeting through web chat. It went by as smoothly as we had it in mind. We got a global project to develop and research by taking much time as we wanted. This was the progress we were working tirelessly for the last few years. And finally we are here, completely relaxed to take up the opportunity. The chat dispersed by noon with some wished for our team. We had a party planned for the evening for the same. The HR team was planning for a big victory party. I went out one of my friend to buy a dress for the same. I never bought one since there had no chance of wearing this long. But today is to celebrate as our MD declared. By 7.30 pm, we reached the company cafeteria to grab a glass of wine. I could see the smile in everyone's face so relaxing to me. We never even had any time in the history of our working time there to assemble like that there. A few hundred people at a time. Isn't worth celebrating! Somebody put on some music in the background before I could dig deeper into my vicious thoughts. Followed by a dj night with some more drinks and music and dance, the night was perfect for all the lonely souls in that room. I was terrific at holding myself together about my inner conscious to maintain myself as the HR head. But I lost it by a count of 7 with my cheers with the similar herds. The so called night we ended up with the people with the same counts. Luckily we weren't the first to start or the last to end the drama. I was lucky enough I could escape it with those people. We were the middle rangers. The party ended around midnight. I don't simply remember the faces. But we the herds came a little closer. May be its impossible to call them friends by a few cheers, but I could with a few more!

I ended up in my room with their kind support; I have to remark it here.
