Sigma's life had started to flash before his eyes...
************
"Hey Jake, wanna go have ice cream?" asked a cute high pitched cheerful voice
"I do!" Jake replied enthusiastically "...but I don't have any money" He added after he remembered the fact that he was poor
"Oh, come on! it's fine it'll be on me!" assured the cute voice
The girl grabbed Jake's hand and started running into the street, the ice shop was a little further than two blocks from where the kids were right now.
but, before they could get there, one of the kids, Chloe, got hit by a truck.
And just like that Jake had lost his only best friend. He was an orphan, his family had died long ago on Earth.
He remembered his name but for some reason, no one wanted to tell him who the Fitzgeralds were.
___________
3 Year's had passed since that incident, and Jake still hadn't fully recovered from the loss of his best friend.
He was now 10 Year's old and was in 5th grade.
Jake's fate was locked the moment he had set foot on Kepler-452B as an orphan.
People had started to spread weird superstitions about Jake, how he was a bad omen for those around him.
hate only spreads more hate, soon the negative emotions were in the hearts of every child in Jake's school.
"I HOPE YOU DIE YOU LONELY FREAK!" a taunting voice cried out
"Hey, Jake, Why are you still alive? do yourself a favour and die" Another boy smirked
Jake's life was miserable, he would spend his day at school throughout which he would constantly be bullied and, at night be bullied again at his orphanage
Thing's didn't get better, the bullying got worse and so dark thoughts had begun developing inside of Jake's head.
'Maybe everyone is right... I should kill myself' Jake thought, He was in his small room surrounded by nothing except a desk, chair and his bunk small bed.
There wasn't even a window in his room.
He had found a sharp piece of glass lying around the orphanage, with which he had intended to slit his wrist.
As he was about to slit his wrist there was only one thought that crossed his mind
'I couldn't find them... I couldn't find my parents' He thought before he finally slit his wrist.
However Jake's luck hadn't given up on him yet, and his roommate had entered right after he had slit his wrist. Although the two weren't friends, heck, they weren't even acquaintances, his roommate still immediately ran out into the hallway yelling
"JAKE SLIT HIS WRIST HELP!"
His yelling was enough to draw everyone's attention, and come to Jake's aid.
A doctor had stitched up the wound, and Jake's roommate had become an overnight hero. Everyone within the orphanage kept praising him while calling Jake "mentally unwell"
Jake had no idea what the world wanted from him anymore. He wanted friends, yet they didn't want to be his friends.
He tried playing with them, yet they didn't play with him, rather they had outcasted him
And even when Jake did what they wanted, they still had no appreciation for him.
After the incident, it was found that Jake had RH-NULL blood, and shortly after this discovery, a recruit from CROSS had come to collect Jake.
"Hey! kiddo!" A middle-aged man greeted Jake, the man was in question was none other than Davis.
"Who- Who are you?" Jake asked
"My name is Davis, and I'm from CROSS, And you're going to be the saviour of humanity, kid!" Davis gently spoke while faking a smile. His smile was obviously fake, yet it was all Jake needed.
"Saviour of humanity?" Jake reaffirmed
"Yup! a superhero loved by all!" Davis knew of Jake's past and how he was an outcast. He knew that Jake would be easy to manipulate
"Loved.. by all?" Jake's eyes had started to overflow with tears, He had always prayed for a miracle that would turn his life around for the better, and for him, this was just that.
"Yup!" Davis said while patting Jake's head
Davis's kind and gentle words, although fake was enough for Jake to live.
He followed everything Davis told him, To Jake Davis was like the father figure he never had, and Davis treated him like a son. Davis had even told him how he lost his family on earth, hearing Davis's story Jake felt like he could relate to Davis at a much deeper level.
he hoped that someday he would be loved by everyone and maybe he might even find his parents.
He spent 4 Year's being locked up with HUE which he survived and managed to keep his sanity, he endured the pain of becoming a Blue. But Davis had told him that he needed to get even stronger in order to become a hero loved by all, and so he struck a deal with Lore and obtained his fire powers.
After doing all of what Davis had told him Jake finally had a place where he belonged, CROSS. The people that lived in CROSS all showered Jake with love and respect. This was what he had wanted.
But deep down he felt like some part of it was wrong, Something was missing.
'I still haven't found them...' Jake remembered, After so much hard work Davis still longed to find out who the Fitzgerald's were.
He had even asked Davis for his help but Davis would always make up some sort of excuse.
Now Jake was all alone. He had no one, He was strong and he had other Blues with him, but he lacked social skills and wasn't really able to become good friends with any of them.
He tried making friends with the members of CROSS, Yet they all treated him like some sort of King, and would always refuse his friendship.
This was not what Jake had wanted. His life continued but not the way he had wanted.
'Even after all that... I'm still lonely' Was the thought that crossed his mind every second of his existence.
That was until he found Omega, After spending years alone, Jake knew what loneliness looked like and Omega was just that. a ball of loneliness Jake had hoped that he would be able to become friends with Omega.
Their encounter at the gym had made Jake so excited he felt like he finally had a friend. And so he wanted to see Omega again, Yet this time. Omega proved to be different, A person who he thought was his friend was currently eating his arm.
