Chapter 1 - Hello I just moved here

I woke up to screams and I thought that Hannah left her son alone to go chat with Gaby again. I quickly got on my wheelchair and looked out the window to see a man wearing a US Army sweatshirt and black shorts flailing near the window. I called 911 and the paramedic arrived within a few minutes. The others on the other hand had called the police. A uniform police officer walked out with his gun drawn and was told by one of the paramedics it was being handled so he left. The man finally calms down and one of the paramedics was Walker. He came knocking. I gave him some handmade cookies and a small pomegranate juice carton. The screamer followed him. Walker introduced us through the door. I said hi and wished him well and gave him a Kit Kat. He said something but I couldn't hear it because my pulse was thundering in my ears. He seemed to understand what was happening so he waited till I calmed down. He asked me if I needed anything I shouldn't hesitate to call him. Walker explained that I was the one who called him, everyone else had called the police. He gave me a sad smile and asked if he could come in. I told him that it is late and I was exhausted. He smiled and promised to be here first thing in the morning with coffee. I thought he left so I braced myself and opened the door and to drop my mail and the empty bottles. His expression went from happy and teasing to sad instantly. He gave me an understanding look and walked back to his house. He was tall, like 6ft 4inches at least. He had light brown hair and brilliant blue eyes. He looked like he was a carved statue. Even his stride held purpose. He turned to take one last look at me before he closed the door.
