Setting: Mumbai city, Lokhandwala, Galaxy Mall
Day: Monday(15th February 2021)
Samar (Thinking): I eventually thought that Ranveer had gone back to his original self but he has changed a bit. I remember the day when I saw him in his full rage mode!! He was terrifying but now he's looking so calm but he has the strength to protect and fight!
Samaira (Thinking): Ranveer really is an enigma now he's ruthless but he's also kind, he's strict at times but he's also somehow fun-loving I do wonder sometimes about what going on in his head.
Tania: I remember seeing him being beaten up when we were in school Ranveer used to never fight back and Samar would always try to save Ranveer at that time I always thought that the reason why Ranveer would be beaten up was just that he was weak but maybe the reason as to why he never fought any of the people that attacked might be something totally different.
(Ranveer looks at Samar and Tania)
Ranveer: What are you two gonna do?
(Samar looks at Ranveer)
Samar: Can we come with you guys?
(Ranveer looks at Sana, Sara and Samaira)
(Sana, Sara and Samaira look at Ranveer and nod gesturing yes)
(Ranveer looked at Samar and Tania)
Ranveer: Fine!
Samar: Really?
Ranveer: You kinda proved that you will not drag me down so I have no problem.
(Samar and Tania smile at each other)
(Ranveer removes some keys from his pocket)
(He gives one key to Ahmed)
Ahmed: What's this?
Ranveer: It's the keys of a container truck!
Ahmed: How did you even get this?!
Ranveer: The zombies that I killed inside I noticed that one of them was wearing a uniform so after I killed it I checked its pockets and I found this key.
Ahmed: I see.
Ahmed (Thinking): This kid is something else.
Ranveer: I am guessing that those other people will go with you.
Ahmed: Yeah that's what they told me.
(Ahmed puts his hand forward to shake it with Ranveer's hand)
(Ranveer looked at Ahmed's hand)
Ahmed: Thank you for saving our lives.
(Ranveer looks at Ahmed and shakes his hand)
Ranveer: Thank you from my side.
(Ranveer turned around and started to walk towards Sana, Sara, Samaira, Akshay, Tania and Samar)
(Ahmed also turned around and went towards the other people)
Akshay: Bro you gave them the truck key but all of us won't fit in one car, will we?
Ranveer: Calm down!
(Ranveer removes a car key from his pocket and gives it to Akshay)
Ranveer: Each one of us has our bags, right?
(Everybody nodded their heads gesturing yes)
Samar: Where did you get the other car key from?!
Ranveer: The person who was in charge of the valet parking had turned into a zombie.
Samar: You don't have to say anything, I got it!
Ranveer: You, Tania and Akshay get into the other car we will wait for you here but be quick.
(Akshay, Samar and Tania nod their heads and go towards the valet parking)
(Ranveer, Sana, Sara, Samaira and Tia sit inside the other car)
(Ranveer looked at Sana, Sara and Samaira and asked)
Ranveer: Say, Why didn't you consider going to the base?
Sana: Why did you want us to go there?
Sara: Or did you want us to leave you?
Samaira: Yeah tell us!
Ranveer: I never knew that just asking a simple question would get you three so mad!
Tia: Brother the sisters look scary right now!
Ranveer: Don't worry Tia they will not attack you. Why don't you sleep right now, you are tired, aren't you?!
Tia (yawning): Yes brother I will sleep...
(Tia lies down on Ranveer's lap and starts sleeping)
(After some time)
(Sana, Sara and Samaira calm down a bit)
Sara: Why don't you tell us something?
Ranveer: And what would that be?
Sana: Why didn't you consider going to the base?
Samaira: Yeah I also wanted to know as to why didn't you consider going to the base?!
Ranveer: Because it made no sense to me.
Sana: What do you mean?
Ranveer: Well the first red flag for me was when I heard that the base was established by some survivors and not by the government. That's why I was even reluctant to even consider sending Tia to that place and the second thing that made me not even consider it was when I thought that how would just a base be able to feed the population density of Mumbai and not only that but even the cities near Mumbai who don't have the facilities to even make a base will start to cluster around Mumbai and put even more strain on the limited resources we already have.
Sara: I think I understand why you thought that way. You thought that due to the overload of the incoming people in the bad that place will eventually collapse.
Sana: You're right!
Samaira: That might be the most logical reasoning but then why didn't you tell this to Ahmed?!
(Sana, Sara and Samaira look towards Ranveer)
Ranveer: He already seemed to know that.
(Sana, Sara and Samaira don't ask Ranveer anything else)
(Ranveer sees Akshay, Samar and Tania in the car that was coming towards them)
(The car stopped right beside them and Ranveer tells them to put down the window)
Ranveer: Akshay go to the car back seat and Samar you will drive this car.
(Akshay was confused and he looked at Ranveer and asked)
Akshay: Why?
Ranveer: Because I have some other work for you.
(Ranveer gave Akshay a bag from his car)
(Akshay grabs the bag)
(Akshay gets out of the driver seat and goes to the backseat, Tania comes on the front seat beside Samar and Samar starts driving the car)
(Ranveer started the car he gave Tia to the girls in the backseat and he started to drive the car behind Samar)
Sana: Wait I thought you couldn't drive?
Ranveer: You're right! but I learned to drive.
Sara: What?!
Samaira: How did you learn to drive in a day?!
Ranveer: I observed Akshay driving and picked it up from him.
Sara: Is that even possible?!
Ranveer: Well from me it was, I mean can see me driving, can't you?!
Sana: I mean we can see you driving but I am not sure if we feel safe about it.
Samaira: Yeah!
Ranveer: Why don't you girls take nap like Tia. I mean I guess all of you are tired since you were taking care of the entire last night.
(The girls think a bit and then they close their eyes and fall asleep)
Ranveer (Thinking): Thank God these girls finally fell asleep. Otherwise, they would've bugged me about my injury and taking medicine.
(In the car where Akshay, Tania and Samar were)
Tania: That little girl seems attached to Ranveer, doesn't she?
Samar: You're right but I mean he saved her life so I think it makes sense. I do wonder though why did he let us come with him so easily?!
Akshay: Maybe it's because of Tia.
Samar: What do you mean?!
Tania: Do you mean that Ranveer let us come with him because he wanted us to take care of Tia?
Akshay: Not quite but something like that.
Samar: What?!
Akshay: I think that he wants you to take care of Tia if something happens to him.
Tania: Why would he want something like that?!
Akshay: Well in reality if you see then Ranveer and Samar are two different sides of the same coin.
(Samar starts to think)
Samar: Why would you say something like that?
Akshay: Well first of all both of you are physically and mentally strong but that's where your similarities end and where the differences begin. You are a merciful person and in some way upright but as of now Ranveer is ruthless, he will kill anyone who betrays him or even slightly threatens him, we've already seen this in the mall and I am pretty sure that you guys did not forget what you had seen in the mall.
Samar (Thinking): Akshay is right what I had seen in the mall was a terrifying side of him which was only comparable to that day!
Akshay: Your strength comes from trying to help people but his strength comes from being ruthless enough to finish his enemies. In the end, you are like a hero who wants to do the right thing but Ranveer is like a villain who will do anything to achieve his goal but normally he would avoid sacrificing anyone.
(Samar and Tania's eyes widen)
(Akshay realized he spoke a bit too much)
Akshay: Well that's what I think I mean I can be wrong too, you know.
(Everybody gets a bit silent)
Samar: You know you're right he's ruthless but he's far from a villain. I think he's just a person who wants to save the people he cares about.
I don't know if he cares about us but I can see that he does care for those three girls and now Tia also. I bet if we asked him about those three girls he will say that he's helping them out because he has made some deal with them.
