Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Germany - 23:45

Christian and Ulf were coming home from a party at house of friends, given in honor of a medal of honor that the two detectives had received. On the way back to home, they talked about drinks. Christian said:

"Thanks for taking the lead; I really needed to take a few drinks tonight."

"Remember that you promised that next time I will drink."

"It's all right. Speaking of drinks, yesterday I passed by Deutscher Wein, and found what in the world of wines we call it world rarity: a bottle of Romanée Conti, 2005 harvest. The price at the time: US $ 27, 7 thousand dollars a bottle."

"This is what can be called net fortune. Did you find any Champagne from Maison Krug?"

"Yes, I found an aged one."

"As well?"

Christian was going to respond when a Porsche Cayenne broke into the crossing and collided with the two detectives' car. The car of Christian and Ulf, a Hillux SW4 came out without too many problems, but the other car in question was not so lucky and overturned. They went to the driver. As they approached the car, they saw who was actually a conductor. When they arrived nearby, they saw that she had a Bereta in her hand. Christian thought:

"A woman speeding and holding a gun?"

It was really quite out of common sense. The girl was semi-conscious, yet he had the strength to say:

"I need help!"

The detectives looked at each other, and that was all that was enough, who had been working together for a lot of time. They went to the car and got it: Christian got his Smith & Wesson .38 Special, and Ulf got his Mauser Parabellum .30 Luger; they unlocked their guns and waited. Only a few thousandths passed second when an Aston Martin DBS V12 appeared on the intersection and two men got out of the car. On the dark side of the street, Ulf was waiting for a sign from Christian. When he nodded, Ulf shouted:

"Alt, who are you?"

"What do you want here? The men stopped and asked with a heavy accent.

Neither Christiane nor Ulf said anything; they were just with the weapons ready, aimed at the ground. One of the men irritated and cursed in perfect Italian:

"Fíglios di unas putanas!" Saying that he shot at towards Ulf, shot that bounced off the bumper of the car. Ulf wasted no time and struck back. A shot and a shout that echoed through the German night. The other man shouted: "Fuori!" They got in the car and disappeared. Christian stood by the conductive while the other detective called the emergency. Nevertheless, the ambulance would arrive too late, and that woman would already be dead when she arrived.
