"Huh?"
The sheets being pulled off of, the cold air hitting his body, carried from the bed to the bathroom effortlessly and thrown in the shower, Denzel screamed all through out the time.
"Sheryl, I'll take it from here." Flynn said with a quirky annoyed smile on his face. "Please do not harrass the young master further."
She looked at him, before nodding and standing back up from the bathtub. "I understand."
"She was going to undress me!" Cried the young master, half naked in the bathtub and clutching onto his towel as if he depended on it for his life. Which he probably did.
If he lost his dignity, then he lost his will to live too.
Well, he slept half naked to begin with, and it was comfortable that way.
"I apologise on her behalf." Flynn said. "Please hurry up, your friends are waiting."
"My friends?" Denzel looked confused before he realised. "They're here? As in in the palace?"
"Yes, they are."
"It's five in the morning!" Denzel glowered, almost as if he was breathing fire through his nose. He could, if he tried hard enough. He was a dragon after all. But nevermind Denzel, he wasn't capable enough to do the basic.
Denzel frowned as if he just heard someone insulting him.
"I know." Flynn scratched his head, trying not to make it obvious that he heard the insult too. "The training was supposed to start at four."
"What?!"
The young master was quick enough to waste no time and hurried to one of the living rooms in the palace after he was done showering. He couldn't believe that it would turn out like that.
He probably should have never agreed to train under Sheryl.
The moment he walked in, he saw two heavy bodies passed out on the couch, and he groaned in disbelief. "They really came to the training."
"Sheryl made sure to pick them up from their homes personally." Flynn explained.
"Why would she do that?" Denzel's lips twitched in annoyance.
"They're your friends, and so they're our guests." Sheryl walked in, bowing in front of the prince for a brief second. "Good morning, young master."
"Good morning." Denzel fizzled with frustration.
"You look effortlessly chic, young master." She said, pushing her glasses up.
Maybe she should get her glasses fixed.
"Chic? Are we going to pretend that you didn't just hit on me?"
"Good morning, young master." A maid approached. "Would you like breakfast?"
Denzel nodded with a smile. The change in his moods looked like bipolarity, which only made Flynn sigh.
"Thank you, but stop right there." Sheryl cut in. "The breakfast is to be served after the workout session." She said, while she placed a pair of shoes in front of the prince. "We will be back shortly."
Flynn tried to get the other two to hurry and wake up, only to get them into a groggy mood before they sat up.
"Can we cancel this?" Andrew burried his face into his palms resting on his knees.
"But we're already here." Raymon blinked back to light. "Oh look, the prince is finally awake. Time for some ball."
The silver head narrowed his eyes. "He took his time didn't he?"
"Do we wait for a princess too?"
Sheryl cleared her throat. "Forgive the young master for stalling."
"Hey, I don't have to apologise to these motherfu-"
"We do not forgive. Ten laps for the young master for stalling." Andrew yawned, finally standing up in his tracks.
Sheryl paused for a second, deep in thought. This might not be that bad of an idea.
"As you wish." She adjusted her glasses, looking sideways at the young master right beside her. "Ten laps don't sound too bad."
Denzel rolled his eyes, turning around. He knew in the end he would have his way. That was how it was with everyone else.
But wait, Sheryl as a trainer.. ?
He glanced at her.
This might be different, but interesting.
On the other side, Flynn was gearing up. He would never let a fly touch Denzel. And with the leviathans sneaking in, Flynn would as well carry his handgun with him.
He knew they were going to hit the streets of Demetris and it was going to be so not safe for his young master.
Sheryl made sure everyone were up and going as she lead the way out.
"We warm up as we walk." She informed, watching Andrew stretch behind her. Raymon shivered at the cold atmosphere of the morning.
Denzel shrugged when her eyes fell on him.
She turned back around to look at the path. It took them five minutes whole to reach the streets with Flynn guarding behind. He looked like a citizen but one could tell he watched everyone's moves like a hawk.
The true reason for why Sheryl picked everyon personally was to assure the young master's safety. She couldn't allow anyone dressed as his friends inside, better check on them herself.
They looked like university students nonetheless less so Sheryl gave them a pass.
"Okay everyone," She stopped walking, turning around to face the three of them. "We run. This is the starting point." She gestured towards the 'River Howl' signboard. "There are two bridges on the river, to our left and right. First lap ends when you cross both while running along the riverbank and reach back here. I've checked and the measure between the bridges is almost the length of an average running track."
But to Denzel, oh to the prince, it was too big to be taken seriously. "How many laps?" He asked, a frown etching back to his face.
"Five for the guests. Ten for the young master."
"Wait-" He gulped. "Ten laps along the river?"
"Yes."
Well, that was that.
Five minutes in, and the police pulled up with their cars and the training had to come to a hault.
No, it wasn't like working out in public was banned in the kingdom.
"Sir, you are under arrest." They said, facing Flynn, and the other three ran back to see what the commotion was about.
Look, there was nothing Flynn had to be arrested about. But right now, they were definitely talking to him. Right? It was Flynn, right?
Flynn glanced over his back, spotting the river and no one else.
It definitely was him, right?
Why was he getting arrested? All of a sudden? Was it because he possessed porn magazines? No, no way, that wasn't something to be arrested about.
Maybe because he drove to the supermarket today in the morning without the seatbelt on? No, that wasn't it.
Was it because he ran over a bird on his way to the supermarket? Wait, that was nothing to be arrested about.
Flynn shrugged.
Oh no, was it because they suspected him to be a leviathan?
Sweat dripping down his forehead as he stared back at the policemen, he crunched his eyebrows. "I-- I swear I'm not a leviathan."
The policeman's moustache twitched at that.
"I didn't say anything about being a leviathan, it was about carrying a weapon in public." The policeman confronted, now slowly slipping his sunglasses off to show his thick fat eyebrows. "But now that you said it, it's even more suspicious. Quick, arrest him."
"Wait, I swear, I am not-"
The handcuffs clicked close around his wrists.
"Arrest everyone."
Then the above-mentioned everyone shared glances.
This was going to be much more than just a training session, wasn't it?
