The day before the inauguration, the company was able to manufacture the goods. It was all thanks to the efforts of the workers who readily worked overtime. Everyone in Alice's Bay was excited for the launch party. They were busy discussing the food and outfits. Alice invited her new in-laws and Edwin as well but asked them to remain low key as they didn't want to reveal their marriage. Edwin worked till late night that day because he cancelled his schedule for inauguration party. When he reached home, the maid arrived to ask for dinner.
"Where is madam?"
"Madam is swimming in the pool."
He nodded. After some time, he went to see Alice who was swimming in the pool. She looked like a mermaid. She was wearing a red swimsuit with white dots all over. Upon seeing Edwin, she smiled and sat in a stair of pool.
"What are you doing?"
"I am just relaxing myself. Tomorrow is the inaugural ceremony and I am a bit stressed. I will be good after some time."
Edwin smiled as she went back to swim. He kept gazing her for a while thinking that how will people react when they will know that the daring CEO of Alice's Bay swims when she is stressed.
The next day, Alice left early. She was anxious and wanted everything to be perfect. She went to the venue and started supervising the work. Though Nadia was also working and asked Alice to relax, she was still anxious about the work.
The ceremony started in afternoon. Many rich businessmen & businesswomen and celebrities came to the ceremony. The Aroras and Anands were also in attendance. There were nearly 150 reporters present to take pictures and interviews. The ceremony started with the employees welcoming the gathering and calling their lady boss for launching the venture. Alice went to the stage. She was wearing an aqua-marine sequin long gown which was having one shoulder with long sleeves. She had her hair open and wore long diamond earrings and bracelet with gems studded on it. She wore heels which was the same colour as her dress. She had done loud makeup which highlighted her face. She was undoubtedly beautiful with or without makeup.
She held the mic and said, "Hello everyone. At the outset, I would like to welcome everyone who are here to be a part of the Launch Party of Lagoon Furniture Series. I am elated to launch this series. It was six months before when I thought to enter the interior designing industry. We were unsure about the execution, but now I am happy that we were successful."
She launched the series and the conference ended with a party which was very lavish. Alice received an anonymous call. She went to her hotel room to receive it and was shocked to see a man in her room. The man showed his back and Alice screamed loud. The man turned and it was…. Edwin. He was disguised and wanted to keep a low key. Alice was surprised to see his disguise. She smiled and escorted him to party. When they were talking in the hall, suddenly they heard a sound from behind in the live music counter.
"Alice congratulations for your new venture. I am proud of you and to celebrate your success, I would like to dedicate a song for you."
The reporters rushed and surrounded the counter. Suddenly the most popular song Friends for Life was performed. Alice ran to the counter and Edwin followed her. She went to the stage and hugged the man who was singing. The media was clicking pictures. Disguised Edwin asked the reporter, "Who is the man on stage?" The reporter said that it was Andrew Miller. Andrew was a famous actor and singer. He was a tough competitor of Edwin. People used to say that his voice is kissed by an angel. Then he thought that why is Andrew in Alice's party. After finishing the song, Andrew started speaking.
"Today I am here to celebrate my best friend's success. Alice is my childhood friend. She had always stolen my candies and fought for me with others. I am really happy to be here."
The reporters were all in awe and started clicking pictures of Andrew and Alice. It seemed that they got their headlines. Edwin was privately fuming in anger. Alice then came towards Edwin with Andrew.
