Captain Grumpy was not a happy guy, I'm guessing it was because if he had lead the capture of all these guys he'd get quite a bit of recognition for it. I got here first though so hes just gonna have to get over it though I'm sure itll pain him to do so. "So if I did my math right that should be right at one hundred and fifty million beli for all thirteen crews right? I'll pick it up when we get back to port, but before that I'm sure those ships I now own still have everything the pirates came here with so you could probably either keep it or give it back for favors if you had it right? I'll make you a deal if you interested."
Captain grumpy looked serious when he glanced back at me. "I'm listening."
"You can have them all no strings attached, if you can let me talk to either Vice Admiral Garp, Vice Admiral Tsuru, or Fleet Admiral Sengoku. When someone asks why just tell them that I just cleaned up the south blue in a week and I wanna make a deal regarding the other three."
Captain grumpy was obviously shocked by my request and seemed resistant at first till he thought it over. I've done exactly what I said and from what I said it sounded to him like I would go to the other Blues and do the same thing for a price. "Okay but I cant guarantee an answer they're far above me."
"Fair enough I'll just go back to my ship and head back to port send someone down when you get an answer. In the meantime these ships are yours."
When the captain confirmed the bounties he called in all the ships and personnel to the front of the island where the ships are located. This meant no one seen me get the adam wood and pack it into the hold of the ship so we could set off back to port.
After we got back I immediately went and collected the bounties I had earned and went back to talk to the crew about what I was gonna do next and see if they were coming. When all eight gathered on the deck I looked them over and started paying attention to what their thoughts were like. "In a few days this ship is heading for the west blue to go after more bounties. After that we'll be going to the grandline to hunt down even more bounties. Now the other blues shouldn't be a big problem but the grandline will be far more dangerous and the probability of getting killed will go up a lot. Now you lot can come if you want or I can pay you for your help so far and we can part ways it's up to you. You could also just stay on till we've finished in the east blue and we can sail back here to drop you off if you all would like to do that as well. However if anyone tries to mutiny or abandon us during the journey they get punched."
They all started talking amongst themselves except for the chef who just said "I'm gonna go make lunch." Guess hes staying. The other seven had one ask how much I'd be paying.
"If you leave right now I'll pay you fifty Thousand beli each for the help over the last week but if you decide to come along for the whole ride around the blues I'll pay one million beli each. After that how much you helped will determine how much you'd get." I was really hoping to keep them all on till I went to the grandline and they came back here as they were all pretty weak. Well the chef guy is ok I guess he could be honed into someone strong not to mention his food is damn good to. I'll go ask him because if hes gonna stay I'll start training him now.
Making my way to the kitchen I realized I didn't know any of them by name which really made me seem like a douche bag, I'll ask for that as well. He was cutting up some potatoes when he noticed I came in. "Do you wanna be stronger?" That was all I asked.
He paused for a moment and calmly looked at me "Yes, I also wouldn't mind traveling the world to perfect my culinary skills either."
I just smiled and told him training starts after breakfast tomorrow, his composure and calm nature will be a positive thing to have if he makes it through body training. After that four days passed training the chef and making sure we were ready to go, all I needed to do now was make a deal with the Marines. They sent a chore boy to tell me to come to the captain's office immediately.
After coming into the rather spartan office the captain just handed me a transponder snail and said "Fleet Admiral Sengoku this is the bounty hunter." Then he sat down and acted like I didn't exist while doing paperwork.
"So tell me brat, what do you want, I'm a busy man."
"Rumor has it the Marines are getting run ragged and cant entirely keep up with the ever increasing number of pirates. I just took out everyone in the south blue with a bounty of one million and up, no doubt captain grumpy here can take advantage of this. He can hunt down the remaining weaklings without defensive holes being a problem because theres no one that can take advantage of them. Then it's just a matter of immediately dealing with any new pirates as they pop up to keep the number down."
"..... I'm listening"
"I'm a bounty hunter so I go where the profit is so the next logical step is to just go to the grandline as I can make more off a single crew than I did off thirteen here, but you can get me a few things I want. If you can agree with my conditions I'll clean out the other three blues and relieve a great deal of pressure off the Marines. Hell you'll be in a great position then as all you'll have to do is make sure to hunt down the pirates as they pop up and not let their numbers grow."
"..... What makes you think itll be that easy? Pirates are vicious and brutal dont underestimate them brat!"
"Unless they are significantly stronger in the other three blues I'm not worried at all it only took me thirty minutes to deal the thirteen strongest crews in the south blue and that was including the time it took me to scale that cliff."
"... Fine IF you can do what you claim what do you want?"
"When I was training for all those years in the forest there was only one person I seen, he just walked into my camp one day and in exchange for food he told me about the world and the powers in it. Is it true you have something called the rokushiki and life return?" This was obviously a lie but I had to make up someway I knew all this stuff because I'm sure theyll investigate me and I couldn't find all that out as a four year old in a church.
"Brat are you telling me you want those and more!?"
"Yes, I also want to have the famous Dr. Vegapunk design and build me a few things."
"O is that all!? Do you know how busy he is and how important his work is?"
"Calm down it's not anything huge that I want him to build. Specifically I need a chain made out of the strongest metal you can get as I use chains as my main weapon, I also want a custom shotgun as I'm a big dude, I need him to build me a motorcycle to. Lastly I want him to design me a ship but he doesn't have to build it I'll have it built at water seven."
"Are you done with your demands?"
" Yea that was it, if Vegapunk is even half as smart as claimed he can probably deal with the chain and shotgun in a single day. The chain should be rather easy as well as it only needs to be about one hundred feet long. I'll need to talk to him about the ship and motorcycle but I can do that over the transponder snail when hes not busy. Itll prolly take six months to a years to finish and make my way to the grandline so it's not like it's a rush job."
"Why do you want all this, what's your goal?"
"This world reeks of sin Flert Admiral, someone needs to punish those that harm the innocent. Heard theres evil bastards all over the grandline, I'm gonna send them all straight to hell. That said I need these things first, I've gotta save enough money to get quite a bit of Adam wood and have the ship built after all."
"Adam wood!?! You ambitious brat. Fine but you get nothing if you dont do what exactly you've said."
"Deal I'll set off for the west in ten minutes. You may want to start patrolling the entrance to the grandline more often, because I've killed all the pirates I've come across so far and word will start spreading fast, and if any of them have any brains they'll run. I'll pick up a transponder snail for the dr in the west. Later old dude."
With that I left and set sail right after I stepped onto the ship.
