"So you mean, he said he wanted you guys to put your differences aside?" Steve asked in disbelief as Joan told him everything that Adebayo told her at the office earlier in the morning.
"Yes he did, I was surprised myself. At first I thought he was up to something, but then when I looked into his eyes, I could see that he was being genuine, or at least that's what I think I saw," Joan said.
"Hmmm," Steve sat down on the bed and started to take off his shoes, he just got back from work.
"I think he must have realized that you weren't the problem but his mom and aunties were," Steve said.
"Yeah, I think so too. You know he said, he was acting from a place of ignorance before now, and now that he knew the truth he wanted to ask for my forgiveness and that we both put our differences aside and have a fresh start. 'offering an olive branch' is what he called it," Joan said.
