By the time Deji got to Victoria's apartment, her temperature was already very high, and her stomach ache had gotten worse. She was already even crying. When Deji called her to come and open her door, it took Victoria more than five minutes to get from her bedroom to her front door because she had to crawl on her two feet and hands as she couldn't stand or work erect.
"Oh my God! Victoria, are you okay?" Deji asked in a panicked tone as he came into the living room and found Victoria on the floor. Victoria, who was too weak to speak, curled herself into a ball on the floor and started crying. Deji bent down and felt her temperature with the back of his palm. "You are burning up; we need to get you to the hospital," he said.
Deji scooped her into his arms and carried her to his car without wasting too much time.
"You are going to be fine, okay?" he assured her as he drove her to the nearest hospital that he could find in her area.
