The following evening after returning from work, Joan was outside her father's compound taking a walk, when she saw Victoria driving into the compound in her car. Joan stood smiling as Victoria parked her car and came down to meet her.
"See who finally decided to come to see me," Joan said smiling as she hugged Victoria.
"I'm so sorry I haven't come to see you all this while," Victoria apologized.
"It's fine. How are you doing?" Joan asked as she studied Victoria's face. She noticed she was looking a bit better than the last time she saw her.
"I'm doing okay," Victoria responded. "How are your mom and dad?"
"They are both fine, my mom went to her boutique to inspect her products which arrived from Dubai yesterday. And my dad is sleeping in his room upstairs," Joan responded.
"How is your dad? How is he feeling?" Victoria asked with concern.
"Hmm, he is fine."
"What are the doctors saying? Are they saying anything positive?"
