Deji stood at the door, looking at Victoria. Did she just ask him to stay back? A minute ago, she couldn't kick him out fast enough, and now she wanted him to stay with her?
Realizing what she just said, Victoria cleared her throat, "ahem, I'm sorry, I'm sure you have somewhere to be; you don't have to stay back."
Deji closed the door and came back to meet her, and said in a calm tone, "if you want me to stay, it's no problem. I can stay back."
Victoria couldn't even tell why she wanted him to stay back; she barely knew him. But she was at her very low and didn't want to be alone. She looked at her wall clock, 9:05 pm; there was no way she would be able to fall asleep at that time except she decided to take sleeping pills. She was beginning to take too much of those lately, and she needed to stop before it caused her harm.
