One evening after work Joan went to visit her parents. She was at the door of her parents bedroom when she heard the both of them arguing in hushed tones.
"You have to tell Yinka about it," Joan heard her mom say in a low tone.
"I can't bring myself to say such a thing to her, she would be disappointed in me. I can't bear to see her disappointed in me," Joan's father said in tone that sounded so hurtful.
"But she is still going to find out anyway, and it is best that she finds out from you instead of anyone else. No matter how disappointed in you that she would be, you are still her father and she loves you," Joan's mother said.
Joan stood rooted outside the door as she wondered what it was that her parents were talking about. What was it that her father couldn't bring himself to tell her about? She wondered.
"Daddy Yinka, please tell Joan about this yourself," Joan's mother pleaded.
