The next morning, Steve was leaning against his car in the hospital parking lot, on the phone with his father, informing him that Joan's father was in the hospital when Victoria's car pulled up beside him. He was wrapping up his conversation with his father when she emerged from her car and approached Steve.
"Hey Vic, good morning," Steve said, staring at Victoria's dress. She was putting on a revealing dress with high heels and a lot of make-up on her face.
"I was on my way back from the club when Joan called to tell me you guys were at the hospital, I had to come straight here," Victoria explained to Steve as she saw him looking at her dress.
"On a Wednesday?" Steve asked her, "you went to a club on a Wednesday?"
"Ladies night of course! Look this week has been very hectic for me, I had to go blow off some steam," Victoria rolled her eyes as she explained.
"Vic, is everything all right? Don't you think that you are letting this...."
