After an intense session of lovemaking, Joan was lying in Steve's arms with her head on his chest.
"We should go on a vacation soon, to somewhere Serene. Just you and I. We never got the chance to go for our honeymoon," Steve suggested. He was using his fingers to draw tiny circles on Joan's back.
"Yeah, I would love for us to do that. More like a honeymoon for us," Joan said in a soft voice.
"Yeah, but you don't seem excited about it?" Steve could sense the resistance in her voice.
"It's not that I'm not excited about it. The thing is, we might have to hold on for now. There is something important that I need to sort out at the pharmaceutical," Joan explained.
"What is it? Did something happen?" Steve asked.
Joan got off Steve's chest and sat down on the bed. "We got a visit from the tax office, and I was told that the company hasn't been paying its taxes for the past four years."
