"So are you saying that you don't want what I'm suggesting? Think about it, Ayo; this is the best way for us to go about this situation." Joan paused as she studied Steve, "I suggest that you think carefully about it before you say anything," Joan said.
Steve was quiet as he contemplated on what Joan had just said. "What you are suggesting, is this some open marriage?" Steve asked her.
"Yes, after we get married, you can continue with your dating life, and I can continue with mine; none of us will be bound to be faithful to the other person; we only have to be discreet about it so that both of our families don't get to hear of it, we must avoid any scandal of a sort," Joan explained.
"You have carefully thought about this, haven't you? And what if any of us fall in love with whoever we are dating and wants to be him or her? What happens then?" Steve asked her.
"You mean like wanting to marry that person?" Joan asked him.
