Tanya quickened her steps as it began drizzling. Suddenly, everything happened so fast that Tanya did not have time to react. she felt nauseous as a rough burly man gagged her. she felt her head spinning as she was dragged into a sugarcane plantation. she was thrown down and the man pinned himself on top of her. Despite her feeling dizzy, her subconscious mind registered the danger she was in. she felt the man's horrid smell, as he tried to kiss her, she sobered a bit. Her eyes flustered as she tried to open them. she tried to push the man with small hands but her strength could not suffice.
"Please don't..." she mumbled as she tried to squirm out beneath the man's heavy body. Her reaction however, was like opium to him. Her weak movements as she tried to put up a struggle only enticed the man.
"Relax pretty and serve me well if not I'm afraid I will hurt you." The man's rough voice was heard. It emitted a cold chill that Tanya couldn't help but shiver as she sobered more. Her vision became clearer.
"Argh! " she suddenly screamed.
"Please let me go I beg of you" she begged as tears streamed her eyes. At that moment, the pitter patter drizzle became heavier. Her pleas fell into deaf ears. He forcefully spread her apart sans a warning and entered her. Tanya felt a sharp asphyxiating pain and her first time was taken...
...
"Tash wake up...Tash..."
Tanya woke up with a startle, drenched in sweat. The same nightmare happened again. Her scream was so loud that it woke her best friend Tiana. She looked up to see her friend's worried yet reassuring gaze. Tiana pulled her and embraced her.
"It's okay Tash ,it's not happening again," she assured her as she lulled the tense Tanya to sleep.
'Quiet peace I long when the trees purr quietly
Like the rivers that flow unperturbed
Like the mountains that sit unshakable
So when time comes I grasp to it...to the peace
ever so freely given … ooh quiet peace...'
Tiana continued to sing and soon Tanya's tense muscles relaxed and slept. Tiana looked up and gave out a sigh.
If only things could be easier to Tash...
