Chapter 1 - The gates Open

The year is 2035, I am Choi Chung-Hee, 20 years old, short black hair, athletic body with dense muscles and tall figure, and I was part of the Korean special forces, and today Is My Sister Choi Hae's 15th birthday, and we live in Seoul, South Korea. Our parents died when I was 17 and a half years old and I had to take care of my sister however the only option I had was to join the army to make enough money to support her studies as I didn't do well in my studies and the army was the only option while our grand parents looked after Hae. While I was in the army I turned out to be very skilled in hand-to-hand combat and my accuracy was considered amazing so after my training I was sent to join the special forces where I trained until I couldn't feel my legs. It took a year and a half to complete my training and when I was 19 and a half I saw my fist combat. I wont go into details but my first combat experience was not what I expected, it was a blood bath as we were ambushed and only 3 out of the 20 person squad survived including me. I stayed for 6 months before I got vacation which is where we are now celebrating my sisters birthday thinking I would have some rest however that day turned out to be the worst day of my life.

June 17th Was the day when Hells gate Appeared with a big flash that could be mistaken to be a nuclear bomb with how bright it was, and we were suddenly thrown into the air straight out of the window and sent straight to a portal, it was a weird experience. It looked like the gates to hell as it had human bodies embedded into the frame of it, and it was the most horrifying sight as it seemed that the people were still alive and moving, the gate also sounded like it was screaming with the most horrific scream I have ever heard and so loud that it smashed windows and almost deafened me.

"Where are we, brother? " Hae questioned me as she was shaking with fear with a worried look on her face.

"I don't know, but whatever happens stay close. " I replied.

I am unsure how many of us have entered 'Hell', but there seemed to be at least 100 where we were, and for all I know there could have been multiple locations where the gates appeared. At first people were confused and panicked but then we all got a weird translucent screen to appear in front of us saying "Welcome to the nine layers of Hell", and all the people looked in confusion and start putting there hand through the screen to see if they were hallucinating or not however there hands went straight through but rippled. My sister was next to me and was scared, so I had to comfort her and let her calm down even though I wasn't that calm myself and the only reason I may look calm is just a front as to show Hae that I know what I'm doing even if internally I was a mess. When half an hour passed, most people calmed down a bit, and the screen continued to change to different messages.

"There is only one way out of Hell. That way is to complete the nine layers of Hell."

"Each layer gets increasingly harder. And at the end of each layer, there is a mega boss. To advance to the next layer, you will have to kill this boss and take a key."

"This key will open a door that will give you a perk, and then you will be teleported to the next layer."

"The more demons you kill, The more points you get. These points can be used to upgrade a person's Strength, Agility, Stamina, Defence, or Intellect."

"The points could also be used on items that can be found in shops scattered across each floor of hell."

"We will also give you all a unique skill. Unique skills are one of a kind, some may be bad, and some may be good, but none are useless."

"There are also ways to get other skills. These can be obtained through the shops or through experiencing certain events; however, everyone can get these skills. And for those who are greedy enough killing other humans have a chance to give a skill however there is only a 5% chance of this happening."

"This is the end of the explanation: have fun killing<3". The message ended.

I had a look at my status, which appeared in front of us as soon as the message ended. My unique skill is:

Name: [Pillage] LVL Max

Limit: [0/90]

Description: anything you kill, you will take their skill and improve your stats. The limit Is 90. A skill can be removed to create space.

This skill seems very useful, but its annoying that there is a limit.

"What skill do you have?" I asked Hae.

"[magic manipulation]" She answered in a small, timid voice.

"What does that do?" I asked unsure about what the limits of that is.

"I can manipulate magic however I want however the more powerful the construct I make with magic the more mana it takes so my only limit is my mana amount and my imagination." She replied which shocked me because that is very powerful and almost has limitless possibilities.

"That sounds powerful you are lucky but we should probably leave now" I suggest while whispering so others don't become alerted.

I could tell that there are some unsavoury characters among the few that got transported here. I hope we don't come across them in the future that is why I decided to leave without anyone noticing.

As we sneaked off we came to realise how hellish this place is; screams can be heard throughout the area echoing to every corner, what seemed like blood flowed like waterfalls from certain points on the ceiling, the heat was unbearable. The air was thin. Many people must be close to fainting however we must keep on walking.

I decided to carry Hae as she was exhausted and probably close to fainting however I am doing ok as I am used to this sort of climate. As we walked down this quiet path, I became uneasy as a crimson fog grew thicker and the cave became eerily silent as all I could hear were my footsteps and the sound of distant screaming, Hae is now passed out on my back and needs to cool down soon, or she will dehydrate. luckily the area we were in was a bit cooler than where we came from as there seemed to be a constant breeze coming through.
