"Hello!" Aliester greeted with a bit of awkwardness. He couldn't believe that he had seen his crush this morning.
He knew that Kanna would not be able to recognize him, but he was still nervous.
The girl's reddish-brown eyes widened at the sight of the blonde stranger. "Have I come to the right house?" she asked herself as she checked the place. "this is Hausen house, but…"
Before Aliester could invite her in, Aria intervened. "Kanna!"
"Aria!" Kanna greeted but eyed the blonde suspiciously. "who is he?"
"My cousin, Aliester." Aria motioned her hand to her cousin. "Aliester, this is my friend, Kanna."
"Nice to meet you!" the girl bowed.
"Likewise!" Aliester gave a bow.
Then, Aria invited her inside.
When Aliester was out of sight, Kanna pulled her friend and fired questions in rapid succession. "Aria, who is he? Is he really your cousin? Where is he from?"
She would have continued but Aria stopped her.
"He is my cousin. I was actually surprised they came here for a vacation." Aria began and tried to give as little of the truth as possible. "He is from….uhm…. Sequoia… yeah Sequoia."
"He is from another country?! Why didn't Anika tell me?" Kanna was puzzled.
Aria had a hard time answering. It was a good thing that Conrad interrupted their conversation.
"Aria, there is a problem in the internet connection." The wizard came out and informed the girl. "the problem loading page appears-oh." He stopped short. "I apologize, I did not know you have a guest."
Kanna was puzzled at the new comer. "who is he?"
"He is my cousin too?" Aria replied while sweat coated her forehead.
Aria did not want to lie to her best friend but she does not have any idea how to explain that her guests were from another realm.
When Conrad left after the short introduction, Kanna grabbed Aria's shoulder and shook her. "You must be lying!"
Kanna cried out. "how could you be related to such good-looking guys? I mean they really look handsome, especially the blond one." Blushing, she gushed.
"I am so sorry. I don't look like anyone from my family." Aria seemed depressed as that certain fact was pointed out.
"But I did not know, you have a thing for blondes." She teased Kanna.
Just before Kanna could retort, Daxton and Blaze came out.
"Who are they?" the girl asked as she eyed the two with suspicion. "Don't tell me they are your cousins too…"
Slightly panicking, she had introduced the king. "This is Blaze. The other one is Daxton, the best friends of Aliester."
Though the two were a bit puzzled of the way they were introduced, they decided to go with the flow.
"I can't seem to keep up with this." Kanna held her forehead. "I am going to school. I have student council duties."
"We have to prep for the fair!" Aria exclaimed.
"Relax, it is still early. I only dropped by to invite you to walk with me. But since you have guests, you don't need to come with me." The girl then left.
When Kanna was out of ear shot, the four males came out.
"good-looking guys… handsome especially the blonde one…" Daxton snickered as he teased Aliester.
"Shut up." Aliester shoved the knight as response. The two of them seemed to have teased one another after a few minutes.
"Aria, why did you introduce us that way?" Blaze asked the girl as they entered the house.
"Sorry. I panicked and just made a story." She sighed. "I cannot exactly tell her that you guys came from a different realm."
"Make sense."
Taking note of the time, the girl's eyes widened. "oh crap! I need to get ready for school!"
After she donned her black buttoned down and plaid red skirt, she took her lunchbox. "I am sorry I cannot take you with me."
Sitting on the doorstep, she laced up her shoes. "Behave, okay? I already prepared your food, just let Aliester heat it on the microwave."
"don't worry, we will not set the place on fire." Blaze reassured.
"We can take care of ourselves. No need to worry, mom." Aliester playfully bid his twin.
"See you later!" Innocia took off with her bike.
"Have a safe trip!" the men chorused.
After the girl disappeared around the corner, the wizard said aloud. "I am quite interested on how the princess is at school."
Aliester cringed. He had been a shut in while his sister goes to school diligently. He was not quite sure what to feel setting his foot on the school grounds.
Meanwhile, Daxton grinned as an idea crossed his mind. "I am more curious at what school is like. Most of us nobles were tutored and home schooled."
Aliester sweated coldly. He already had an inkling what these guys are trying to do.
The king seemed to have a similar idea as well. He added fuel to the fire. "We do not have schools in our country. Most nobles were taught by governess and tutors."
"How about, we check it out?'" Daxton asked with a devious grin.
Aliester sighed in resignation. He knew that he could not oppose all three of them.
The boys silently followed Aria. She seemed oblivious of the four people who had managed to catch up and had been stalking her.
However, they have under estimated the girl. She seemed to have sensed something. She turned around several times to check her surroundings.
It was a good thing that the four males were quick to hide. Thinking that it was nothing, the princess resumed walking to her school.
Since the girl moved again, they trailed after her once more.
"So, this is what the school is like!" Daxton whistled as he eyed the structure Aria had entered.
The building is a four-story edifice and had a wide track field. Kiosks and food stalls were erected on some areas and a huge banner was placed at the entrance.
Students, who wore uniform similar to Aria's, seemed to be quickly filing. The boys took note of the time, a few minutes before seven in the morning.
"Looks like a festival." The king murmured as he let his eyes feed on the grounds.
Daxton grunted as one teenaged girl bumped into him. The girl quickly apologized and hastily left. "they are quite in a rush."
Suddenly the great clock tower at the center of the school chimed loudly then a chorus of fire crackers signaled the start of the school's activity.
"Are they celebrating something?" Blaze asked as they observed the happenings in the campus. The students were preparing some of the stalls and were making last minute changes.
"It is a school fair." Aliester answered.
"A school fair." The caster said. "I remembered watching something like this a few days ago."
"Well then, shall we check it out?" Daxton grinned.
"Why not?" Blaze gave his permission. "I still have some of the currency that Aria had left me after our lessons in finance."
The males did not have to gate crash the fair. Some of the students, particularly the girls, welcomed them and let them try their products on the stalls.
Although Blaze had brought money, they were not able to use them. They were given free samples using Daxton's charm.
Conrad's haggling skills and the four males' good looks had allowed them to take some product without purchasing them.
Forgetting their initial objective, they had explored the stalls that the school fair has to offer.
