Then she heard another gunshot but it was not directed to her, she saw someone falling down, in the ground there were already 4 bodies which looked lifeless. Under the dim street light middle aged man's face appeared before her, he was extremely cautious, the moment when she wanted to turn around his voice sounded from behind
"Stop" she did as he said, when she turned back their eyes met, he was surprised when it was little girl who would faint anytime soon, he thought she would beg him to spare her life but when he met her gaze again, she looked extremely calm, it was not acting she was really calm. Blood was still flowing from her shoulder but she was still standing tall, she impressed him but he would never leave witness so he lifted his gun to pull the trigger.
"let's make a deal" her hoarse voice ringed in his ears, he waited and let her continue "if you save me I will prove to you that I am worthy" her voice was weak but sincere. He saw many kind of people who would try to save their asses when they are facing with death but this was new to him, he smirked to her
"convince me" he said but didn't put down his gun
"I am very good at many things, I can earn money for you"
"I have many people who wants to earn money for me" he said smugly
"I am very talented singing, dancing, music or painting" she feels she was getting weaker and weaker
"I can just go to theatre so why should I need you?" at this moment her eyelids became heavier so she blurted whatever entered her mind
"I can be your family member" she muttered but it was audible to the men, when his eyes lit up she realized she won't die because of this men. Something changed his mind but she might die because of blood loss. She fainted there and couldn't hear his words
"Family member?" he repeated her words and looked at the petite body that is now lying on the ground, he put his gun in the holster and make sure she was alive "then little girl it's deal"
She lifted her from the ground and hesitated a bit, too weak. Someone like him never bothered about someone who is as weak as her. He would walk away without looking back and she will die here.
Family, he never used this term since he became conscious but when this word came out from this little girl's mouth it became appealing and he wanted to experience something new. He again remembered her unwavering gaze and somehow he felt like she was similar with him when he was young.
'Don't regret' he mumbled in his mouth and walked to his car while carrying her.
