Chapter 61 - V.1-C.61│The First Mission VI│

It was another monotonous day within the grand Skywalker palace on Tatooine.

Again they would wait for the Hutt's to once again be connected with them so they could try and further progress but it would seem they were hell bent on not allowing a resolution be made and were continuously increasing tensions so something drastic could happen.

The Hutt's were waiting for something, that much everyone was aware of and alot of people at this point assumed that it has to do with the assassination of the Queen.

"Is it going to be yet another boring day, Master?" Anakin questioned Qui-Gon with a hint of weariness in regards to the constant denial of peace.

"You should not worry, my young apprentice, I am sure that by now or at least within the next few days the Hutt's would finally give up in their pursuit." Qui-Gon says with certainty.

"I am sure." Anakin replies with some sarcasm.

The real reason, that Anakin had discovered the Hutt's were delaying was because they were waiting for their informant and spy within the Tatooine territory to make their move. Unfortunately it was quite hard to see through the thoughts of every single person here.

But, with enough time he should be able to identify the traitor soon enough because he has been busy analyzing the minds of those within the palace and clearing them one by one.

A slow process but one that was guaranteed to root out the imposter.

After a while, everyone had gathered back within the throne room specifically at the center where a table had arisen from the center that contained an advanced artificial intelligence network, that held all sort of information.

What this center was being used for currently was dedicated towards the process of communicating with the Hutt's and the accumulation of knowledge within this A.I.'s nexus.

'It is much harder to find this spy then I had originally thought it was going to be.' Anakin had been at it for days now and was having trouble. 'No matter, patience is the only thing that will help me here.'

'For now.'

"Now, let us begin the briefing before we again try to gain some peace with the Hutt's." Jira again spoke for Shmi at this moment as she usually did before negotiations started.

Jira was quite the avid talker, it would seem.

"When will this end, it has been days now and they dont seem to be giving up or letting in. In fact, I believe that we have given them alot of concessions that they would have loved to keep or to have had." Someone within the crowd spoke a bit dissatisfied with the way things were going.

Trella, Ann and Tann were off to the sides as they were being trained to become close attendants for Shmi and were meant to act as companions and guardians if the situation calls for it.

Don't get Anakin wrong here, he knows his mother has actually become a little bit capable in defending herself because he kind of influenced her to at least get good with some type of weapon.

If she had no means to defend herself then the next best option, no the first option should be that she should run.

When it comes to life and death situations, it is always best to try and run because you could not only avoid having your own life threatened but you do not put yourself at further risk when trying to defend against an attacker.

Going on a tangent as he drowns out the arguing coming from the crowd, Anakin thinks back to the times in his previous life where there were people who believed they were the heroes of the story, when in fact they were simple background characters.

Trying to fight violence with violence usually leads to a bad ending, sometimes it may be necessary but most of the time the easiest, quickest, safest and most effective method for survival is to run.

"I think that is enough arguing for today!" Shmi calls out finally getting annoyed and anger leaks into her voice when usually she is portrayed as kind.

You know you have gone a bit too far once even the nicest and kindest of people get angry.

Shmi sitting back down on the throne dressed in a quite high quality garb looks over the crowd. "Now I think that is enough for today. I believe it would be best if we do not talk about the subject matter and only wait for the Hutt's transmission."

Silence is spread throughout portraying just how docile the people within were when it came towards Shmi.

Smiling she decides to follow with a treat after giving the stick. "Thank you, I apologize for my outburst but I stand firm that fighting amongst ourselves in this moment will not help us any."

Instead of more silence, Shmi is met with some cheering and applause to her words. 'Man, the people here have quite the fanaticism.' Anakin was starting to worry that maybe his living droids were having some kind of impact on the people.

Denying within, he continues his thoughts. 'Nope. They couldn't possibly be going so far as to subconsciously convert everyone around, could they?'

Anakin again can't be everywhere at once because he is not only limited to his singular body but is also limited to his thought processes. It may be slowly growing with time but that doesn't mean he is omniscient just yet.

'I will get there, with time.'

The transmission screen in the middle finally flickers to life as the Hutt's begin connecting.

Everyone finally could release a sigh knowing that the Hutt's will still continue to communicate with them, but they still are saving a sigh of relief, hoping, just hoping that the Hutt's agree to some peace.

"Achuta, shag Kwee-Kunee an shag mikiyunas. (Hello, slave Queen and slave peoples.)" Even after the pleasantries exchanged between both parties, mostly the Tatooine party inn particular it would seem they would not give up on addressing Shmi and those within the room as such.

It didn't matter if some of them weren't even slaves, what did matter whoever was that they were all the same and would be treated as such by the Hutt's.

"Greetings to you too." Shmi replied. "I would like it that we could actual finally negotiate some terms to a treaty of sorts. I wish to further avoid conflict in possible."

"Bu Hutt's wa hay bed reetuk kee bu Republic's lovaalee an wa leelaynuu bed tagwa tish bu bargon. (The Hutt's have come to know of the Republic's meddling's and have decided to agree with the peace negotiations.)"

'Strange...' Anakin thought to himself. 'The Hutt's are giving up a little too easily.'

The Hutt on screen was acting a bit suspicious.

Again, everyone within the room even though offended held back their anger relived that the Hutt's will finally not go after them anymore.

"This is a little too easy." Shmi speaks out the thoughts of some people. "I wish to know the specifics that has lead to your decision."

"Bu Hutt's simpjo ap-xmasi naga bed bos gee mwaa Republic. (The Hutt's simply don't wish to go against the Republic.)" The Hutt negotiator replied with a subdued smugness within their voice unnoticed by all but a few.

After a short discussion that actually went places an actual agreement was made and was written and signed off by the leader of the Hutt's. With alot of disadvantages lodged against them, the people would at least figure that they would get something out of this.

The only condition posed was that the main recipient and person responsible for upholding this treaty was Shmi, which was incredibly suspicious.

She did not ask for any other extra conditions except peace, so that could be one of the reasons for their easy dismissal. 'But to this degree?' Anakin thought to himself.

"Anakin, I dont believe the Hutt's are actually forfeiting this." Qui-Gon spoke to Anakin after the discussion had finished.

"I am getting the same feeling, it seems that they are planning something but I am unsure as to what that is." Anakin responded.

"For now, I think we should stay here on Tatooine for a little while longer but we should report back to the Council that we are leaving. Create a distraction of sorts." Anakin suggests.

"Sounds like a plan, it would certainly lead any snakes out of their caves." Qui-Gon agrees but has something else to say. "I am afraid though that the Council may dislike this idea considering everything has seemingly been finished here."

"I am sure that they would see it from my way, or should I say see it from the perspective of those from Tatooine, its people." Anakin continued.

Anakin would then go on to explain the situation with the Council and Qui-Gon backing up his decisive moment letting him finish. The Council would then agree with little argument because of the things he had mentioned.

Particularly in regards to the mysterious 'Sith.' They were still searching for this figure after all and Anakin was more than happy to spread a few lies here and there to ensure his mother remained safe.

To make sure his newly constructed future empire will not crumble down because of some schemes lead in the background.

'They had finally left, those despicable people from the Republic. Scum, the lot of them.' Someone thought ominously safely away from the mind reading Jedi.

It would seem that an imposter was among the people of Tatooine and was now currently stealthily moving through the still being reconstructed streets of Mos Espa. Soon enough it would be renamed into something that included the Skywalker somehow.

'The people are twisted here.' This person thought.

They had seen far too much and was ready to bail, but was unable to do so because he was approached by someone that offered him great power and riches. Freedoms like none other would experience.

He was going to report back to this being about the progress of his mission.

Within a dark alleyway, yet to be touched by Anakin's construction droids and no one else had gone towards because it needed to be renovated, the person through the buildings and rubble to a specific area.

Not all criminals escaped and not every criminal was known to Anakin because what they had done was something not recorded ever, anywhere. Or they were simply not important enough and only did basic grunt work.

The lowest of the low in the criminal hierarchy.

Lifting his transmission device that was on a secure channel hidden away by the systems in place, a blind spot because of the amount of rework that needed to be done, the shadowy figure activates the device.

"My Lord, I have to report to you my findings." The shadowy figure said rather weirdly.

"Good." On the other end was a holographic figure cloaked in black not unlike a Sith. Not unlike the same people who had initiated the attack on Naboo years ago. "You have done well, and shall be rewarded, for now tell me what was happened."

The shadowy figure then went on to regal his lord about the events and juicy details of what had happened for the next few minutes summarizing the situation.

"My Lord, is that good? Have I done well?" The shadow asks.

"You have done splendidly. You surely will be appropriate to join me in the making of history."

What both of these dastardly scum and villain's do not know of however is that this was all apart of Anakin's quick thought up plan to root out the cause.

Looking through a specialized droid that would have originally belonged to the monks that had been expelled from their home, Anakin was appropriating their technology for his own uses. 'Lets see, from this distance I am unable to truly make out who these two people are but that is fine.'

Anakin would be able to capture the one cloaked, because he was physically here.

He had a great guess that Palpatine would be the other one on the other side of that connection but his suspicions aside it would be prudent to take him down first, and then ask questions later.

Watching the sneaky shadow, Anakin waits in anticipation for his prey to finally turn off the device and while he is at his most vulnerable and unguarded moment he will swoop in for the metaphorical kill.

"Thank you, my Lord!" The shadow just about shouts allowing for Anakin to hear that sentence through the device but he was close enough nearby to move in.

If that fails, meaning if he fails to apprehend him, Anakin has his droids setting up a perimeter, thus surrounding the shadow from any hope of escape.

Thankfully there are also no advanced underground networks or tunnels underneath Mos Espa.

"Be quiet!" The holographic cloaked figure hissed. "You are in a secure area are you not?"

"Yes, my Lord! I swear it upon my life."

"You and I better hope so, from what I have gathered the people here on Tatooine are strangely passionate in protecting not only each other but especially anything to do with the royal family." The holographic then continued. "If word was to get out, I will be denying your existence, you wouldn't want that now would you..." He left his words trailing to build suspension.

"No, my Lord! I would never do anything that would put you into a dire situation!" The shadow continues to say in a loud voice as if to prove not only his allegiance but that he is a very secure area, safe from the eyes and ears of those on Tatooine.

"Good~ Just remember to stay vigilant and those whom you would like revenge on will suffer." Says the holographic cloaked being further conversing in a manner not unlike the snake in the garden of Eden.

"Yes, my Lor!-" The communication is cut off before he could finish. "-d!"

The person gets up and slowly unwinds himself moving back through the streets of Mos Espa and when coming into the light, the side of the properly reconstructed city, the hood comes off.

The shadow was revealed and it was Bob.

The dissident rebellion member that harbored hatred towards Anakin, and towards any who would defend him. Upset with the direction of things, at the fact he was not given any position of relevance this was his way of getting back at his would be enemies.

'The Skywalker dynasty shall fall.' Those would probably be his last thoughts, given the very next moment he was knocked unconscious.

"Well, that deals with the first part." Anakin says as some droids come up around him to take Bob away.
