Klang! Klang!

I remember this scene, Irina thought. She had witnessed this countless times in the past weeks. She was dreaming, and she got used to it which was why she knew it was in a dream. Irina looked around. She was in a church. She saw lots of people but couldn't recognize any of them.

The setting gave the vibe that it was a wedding. Oddly enough, the way the bells rang, it sounded more like a funeral. Irina shrugged the thought. She went past this dream already, she knew what's going to happen, but that didn't mean she could do what she wanted. It was as if watching a cut scene in a game rather than actually playing it. This was meant to happen.

Irina walked toward the altar. The walk that she grew terrified of regardless of how much she did it. Her chest trembled. Can they hear my heart beat, she wondered while examining the people around. It's not like she couldn't recognized anyone, but everyone was unrecognizable with their featureless face. No eyes, no nose, not even mouth. Just blank faces.

She stopped right in front of the altar. Beside her was a man she knew all her life - her dad. This must be the part of the wedding where the father would give away his daughter's hand to the groom, but the groom wasn't to be seen anywhere. A man came into view from the podium and headed towards Irina and her dad. It was the priest.

Well done, Alexander, the priest said to Irina's father. He lowered his head, accepting the priest's praise. He then pulled something shiny from his side.

"You may now kill the bride."

Klang! Klang!

The eerie sound of bells continued to fill the church. The last thing Irina remembered was the dagger piercing her eyes.
