"Tell me the truth. Why do you keep that anklet?" Vanylla chose not to answer him but stared at Mars. Mars had so many things to ask her but kept everything inside. Mars did not want to force and ask other things.
"Do you still want to wear it, or should I throw it away?"
"Don't throw it away... I-I mean..." Vanylla cut in quickly and then looked down shyly. Mars smiled faintly and didn't want to intimidate Vanylla any longer. He turned and took the anklet.
"Do you know if I carve your name on every emerald stone on this anklet?" Mars said while showing the small letters engraved on each stone. Vanylla was stunned at the unknown fact about the stone anklet.
Vanylla had never checked the anklet since Mars put it on her. Since then, she had never taken it off. Vanylla looked at Mars as soon as he showed the engraving on the emerald. Mars lowered his face as he took Vanylla's left leg, which wasn't injured, and put the anklet back on.
