Chapter 163 - Chapter 163 The vows

The officiator cleared his throat to gain their attention since the two seemed to be so lost in each other's eyes. Luna looked at Vikram who was Graham's best man and she smiled at him. Bella being the bridesmaid looked at Ethan who was sitting on the second line but wasn't sparing her a glance.

"If there's anyone here against this union, speak now or forever hold your peace," the officiator announced and gave them a moment. It was then that Luna remembered about the vows. She hadn't prepared any but she decided to speak whatever was in her heart. It made her wonder if Graham had prepared his vows already.

"Alright then, you may say your vows," said the officiator and Graham readied himself to speak. Looking at her, he started," You look so beautiful. There comes a time when you meet someone and you just want to make them smile for the rest of your life." This caught the attention of the audience and there came a deafening silence so as to listen to what he was saying.

Continuing he said," Sometimes I wonder what I had done in my past life to make me so lucky to have you. You complete me in every aspect and you make me a better person. I never knew that I could love someone so completely until I met you. I promise to be your faithful partner in life and your best friend. I promise that my love for you will be an overflowing spring, never diminished and always sweet and life giving. I promise to love you, to be your hearth, to keep a flame alive for you in my heart. Luna Howells, I take you as my wife, for better for worse, in sickness and in health till death do us part."

By the time he finished his vows, tears had gathered in her eyes. It was so emotional. As Graham said his vows, Bella's eyes were looking at Ethan the entire time. Luna realized that it was her turn to speak. Taking a deep breath, she looked into his eyes and said," I knew I loved you from the first moment we met, and I have been helplessly lost in your eyes ever since. I appreciate you more because of the road I traveled. My story brought me to you and I wouldn't revise a word of my past if it led me anywhere but to your door. With every single breath that I take, I promise you that I will love you will all my heart. And I would choose you in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds and in any version of reality, I would find you and I would still choose you. I take you Graham Cullen as my husband, for better for worse, for sickness and in health, till death do us part."

Many people were left speechless by her vows, Graham inclusive. He knew that she had said everything straight from her heart just like him.

The officiator asked," Graham Cullen, do you take Luna Howells as your lawfully wedded wife?" "Yes, I do," he replied immediately without hesitation.

"Luna Howells, do you take Graham Cullen as your lawfully wedded husband?" "I do," she replied. They therefore exchanged the rings. "I hereby pronounce you as husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride," he announced.

Without wasting time, Graham lifted her veil off her face and held her face in his hands before giving her a gentle kiss amidst the cheers from the crowd. When they turned around to face the crowd, they waved at them and made their way down to where the guests were. As soon as they joined them, Luna was hugged by her mother as her family surrounded while congratulating her.

"How are you?" Bella was startled by Ethan's voice who had come to where she was standing. "I thought you didn't care," she said.

"You looked beautiful in the dress," he complimented her and she rolled her eyes. Continuing, he said," If you hadn't refused, we would have been getting married with them."

"We would have done that?!! she exclaimed and he nodded but she realized that it was too late but she would have loved the idea of a joint wedding. He said again," I didn't mean to abandon you today but I had to punish you. And I swear that if it wasn't about the pregnancy, I would have punished you more but I don't want to hurt my babies." "I said I'm sorry," she said. "I forgive you. But you should never do it again," he warned her and she nodded.

The reception was organized at the Howells mansion where everyone had gathered to celebrate with the newly Weds.

When they reached the room to change out of the gown and tux, Graham stood at her back helping her with the zipper.
