Graham then understood where all this was coming from and what she meant by that question. "Did he tell you?" he asked instead. "It doesn't matter. Is it why you decided to leave SunCity?" she asked once again. "Yes, Luna didn't want to ruin your happiness. She wished that you never find out about it." Bella stayed mute for a while before saying," I know her. She's so selfless. Please don't talk to her about this. Have a nice day."
After hanging up, she packed her things and placed them with the other stuff before driving off. She first stopped in front the first apartment they shared with Luna and after spending sometime there, she drove to her destination. She reached the airport and after checking in, she boarded the plane.
It was afternoon and Ethan hadn't gotten hold of Bella yet. He made a call at Roman agency and they told him that she left shortly after reporting. He was now beginning to get worried. Where was she? Panicking, he called Alex who promised to come as soon as he could. After an hour, Alex came and made way to Ethan's office.
"I got information from some inmate of Freddie that he doesn't have the recordings. He's just threatening you, so be rest assured he has nothing against you. Isn't it the best news?" said Alex as soon as he took his seat.
"it's good news but I'm confused about something," he said and Alex raised his brows in question which urged him to explain further. He narrated the situation from yesterday night till now as Alex was carefully listening. When he was done, he asked," You said you talked to Freddie when she was sleeping, isn't it?" and when he nodded, he continued," Bella must have heard everything." "That's impossible. I spoke from the balcony and perhaps she would have confronted me if she heard." "You said that when you came back, she had locked herself in the bathroom. She must have eavesdropped on your conversation," Alex was certain. And on realisation, Ethan whispered," It can't be."
Quickly, he stood up and made his way to Roman agency but as told, she was not there. And it was from there that he got the news about her resignation. He felt his heart almost slip out of his chest. He couldn't believe it. How stupid of him not noticing the change in her behavior since yesterday night!! He remembered that she usually goes to the beach when she's lost and he checked each and every beach he knew in Sun City but he didn't spot her. His nightmare was becoming a reality, her leaving him. He checked the malls, parks, every place he could think of but she was nowhere to be seen. Then a certain realisation struck him. Yes, his house. He sped off to his Villa because it was the last place he could think of. The maids and butler looked at their boss running like a madman after packing and they wondered because they had never seen him act like that. He was always so composed.
He reached the bedroom and scanned everywhere but she wasn't there until his eyes fell on a note at the bedside table which said,' Don't look for me because you will never find me.'
He felt his whole world spin and he ran to the Walk in closet and as he assumed, all her stuff were missing and all hell broke loose.
She had completely left him. He left the room raging and he roared the butler's name who came sweating. "Did you see Bella take out her stuff?" he asked. "N-no sir. When did this happen?"asked the butler. " You're now asking me? Isn't it your job to see what runs in the house? Call all the maids here," he yelled and he quickly ran off to gather them. In just five minutes, all the six maids had lined up in front of him.
"Did any of you see Bella leaving the house with her belongings?" he asked. They shook their heads and one said," Yes, sir I found her taking her bags out but she asked me to keep quiet." He looked at her coldly and said," You're fired. Pack your bags and leave my house." Had she talked, then maybe he would have came in time to find her. The maid knelt down and pleaded," Please sir, I didn't help her." "Did you inform the butler?" he demanded and when she shook her head, he said," Leave my house before I worsen your punishment. The rest of you leave my sight." When the butler stayed behind, he told him," If I fail to find her, you're leaving next." The butler gulped at the warning and Ethan left the house to continue his search. He wouldn't let her leave him, never.
