Lord Jiao knew he had offended his friend with his words and couldn't blame Tan Lian for his anger. Tan Lian had warned him many times not to doubt Nero's abilities if indeed they encountered him here, but Lord Jiao had always played it off as a joke, jeering Tan Lian for complaining like an old woman. Now, the one suffering most of the loss was him and not Tan Lian. Lord Jiao had nothing to say and could only silently curse his bad luck.
