Tan Lian was enraged at this point and wouldn't care about his actions. Out of a team of thirteen people, only two came back alive. This was equivalent to the entire team being disposed of. But, seeing as the guard was about to die in his hands, Tan Lian stopped exerting more force and flung him to the side.
That guard had long made peace with their fate and awaited his sentence, but it didn't come as expected. The guard was thrown to the side, crashing into a table not so far away. Notwithsatnding he had just been thrown aside like a ragdoll, he stood again and knelt before Tan Lian with his head lowered to the ground. Tan Lian on his own end wasn't focused on them any longer as he spaced out. After some time, he regained his senses and started pacing around, deep in his thoughts.
