Nero was stunned that he lost all connections to the Dark Domain, and most of all, his energy was still being drained at an alarming speed. At this point, there was nothing he could do. He had no control over the energy that was absorbed by the ring and the Dark Domain was feeding the ring its power so he couldn't rely on that. The vast and intense energy that exuded from the ring synced with the boundless might of the Dark Domain, both in harmony with each other.
