Hearing Devaughn mention this, everyone thought it was possible that Alistaire might have joined hands with Nero to kill their promising young martial artists. After all, in the contest held six months ago, Nero had fought on their behalf and won. It didn't sound possible that he would suddenly turn against them when all they've done was give him the proper treatment meant for an esteemed guest. To them, there might still be a hidden matter somewhere.
However, hearing Alistaire's question, they all started to think again. Even Devaughn thought this to be a bit odd. In his mind, it was possible to fake Galen's death to make it seem like they were all affected by this crisis. But thinking again, it wasn't really possible because Galen's life inscription talisman had shattered. That meant that Galen was truly dead. But Devaughn simply wouldn't let this go so easily.
