After many twists and turns, Nero arrived at a passageway, and as usual, it was dark. But the walls were somewhat different. Here, the stone walls were black and the feel of it was much harder than that of a normal stone and a cold Qi emanated from them. Nero gently caressed the stone wall as he slowly made his way through this dark passageway.
Nero had a wild smirk on his face, his green eyes glistened amidst this dark passageway and his fighting spirit seemed to uncontrollably surge from his body. Just in front of him was the location of the strong aura he was sensing. This was his chance to know just how strong the people of this world were, and how strong he was…
Saburo had an uneasy expression. He could feel the presence of someone approaching him from a distance. He looked at the dark passageway in front of him with an apprehensive expression.
"Could it be him?" Saburo wondered. He had sent a team of his best martial artists to intercept the intruder. Although he had full confidence in his team, he still had doubts that any one of them could emit such a terrifying aura. The aura Nero emitted was involuntary because of his enthusiasm to fight Saburo. However, it was still powerful. Saburo slammed his brows together as he saw a pair of green eyes that seemed to penetrate many layers of darkness.
Following these eyes, a tall figure slowly emerged with a wide grin running across his face. He wore a black robe and a black hair ribbon that tied together a small amount of his hair at the middle, while the rest cascaded down to his shoulders.
This was Nero! He walked slowly and casually like Saburo wasn't of any threat to him.
"Who might you be!?" Saburo thundered, his voice filled with thick killing intent.
"That shouldn't matter to you. What should matter is why I'm here."
"That shouldn't matter? Hehe… you barged into my base while killing your way through, and when I ask, you say it shouldn't matter… Who do you think you are to make such statements!? If you think the promises of that bastard State Master of yours is enough to make you haughty, then I'll be more than glad to show you despair. No one will rescue your beloved Princess from my hands!"
Some time ago at a grand event in the Gandor kingdom, the Princess unexpectedly went missing. A note with the picture of a curled-up dragon was left behind instead. This lead to an uproar within the Gandor kingdom. The Black Dragon squad had purposely slapped their faces mercilessly.
This occasion was hosted within the State Master's city; the capital of the Gandor kingdom and also where the royal family resides. For an occasion as grand as this, the State Master's city was fortified with both strong barrier formations and guards. However, the Princess was still abducted right under their noses without a single mistake. This was more than enough for the Gandor kingdom to wage war against the Black Dragon squad. But there was still a slight problem… no one knew the base of the Black Dragon squad!
An organization filled with highly trained martial artists skilled at assassination and abduction, wouldn't leave their base out in the open field. At the entrance of the Black Dragon squad, Nero encountered a formation that could simultaneously emit poisonous mist clouds and create an illusion of some sort. The formation in question was hidden deep within the ground. If not for Nero's keen perception, it would be hard for an ordinary martial artist to detect.
Saburo was well aware of the people he had offended and knew the best way to deal with them. Saburo had confidence in the formations he set up, but against those powerhouses at the State Master level, he knew it was only a matter of time before they found his base. He had set up formations that could stall State Master level martial artists for a while before he would move into action. But now, they were all rendered useless by this fellow in front of him!
What surprised him most was how Nero didn't struggle to break those formations; they were like glass panes that shattered when hit with a strong force, shredded to pieces like sheets of paper.
Nero had spent up to an hour in this mountain cave and not once was he forced back a single step. He tore through everything both man and formation like a raging tsunami sweeping across the face of the Earth. While Saburo had been anticipating his battle with this mysterious intruder, he had also been trying to find his identity.
According to him, there were only two people in the entire Western Earth Kingdom that had the power to invade his base. However, this strange fellow was the intruder Instead, leaving him to wonder how such a strong figure existed and he, Saburo didn't know of it.
"Rescue Princess? Which Princess are you talking about?" Nero asked, a bit confused. He looked to the cage beside Saburo and finally understood what was going on.
"If I'm not wrong, the lady in the cage is the Princess you're talking about. And you're probably thinking I'm here to rescue her?"
Saburo was stunned. This was exactly what he thought in his mind, and now this fellow ridiculed the idea like it was some fairytale. If this wasn't the reason why he came here, then why is he here?
"I'm here because one of your subordinates stole from me… a five petal blazing flower. His last words directed me to you the Master. So… can I have it back." Nero went straight to the point with no room for negotiation.
Saburo was more stunned than he was initially. If his hearing didn't fail him, the fellow in front of him destroyed his formations, barged into his base while wantonly killing his subordinates and his reason wasn't to rescue the Princess, but to obtain a five petal blazing flower that according to his words were his.
"Hahaha…!" Saburo laughed without control. To Saburo, Nero was without a doubt a fool and a high grade at that! How could that be enough reason to wreak havoc in someone else's territory?
"You are without a doubt foolish. In fact, you should be the king of fools… haha!" Saburo continued his mockery.
