Chapter 11 - One in the water one by the shore

Two 3 feet long Bardian dragons stood in front of Nero, baring their fangs and growling.

Roar!!

The two big-sized lizards launched their attack. Their movement was inconceivably fast, in contrast to their size. Their legs trod to the ground and their claws dug their way into the ground. These lizards attacked at the same time! Watching these lizards attack him, Nero remained Indifferent and calm.

Whip!

The Bardian dragons flashed their tails striking them towards Nero. Nero lightly stepped to the side avoiding the attack.

Roar!

Seeing Nero dodge their attack, the two lizards got a bit irritated. Just then, their growling deepened and a purple saliva leak from their jaws. Their scales issued a ' cracking' sound, revealing a tiny gap between them. A purple gas oozed from the gaps between their scales. At first, it slowly wiggled its way out but after a few breaths of time, they started to pour out at a fast rate.

"This should be the poison he was talking about." Nero maintained his composure but a light of interest lit up in his eyes.

"I wonder what will happen to me if I inhale it?...."

The middle-aged man had initially warned Nero about the poisonous gas that the Bardian dragon uses. The gas being able to kill a martial artist was no joke. If one could defend against it on time, the highest effect it would have was a temporary paralysis. Why, because if one was to defend against the poisonous gas in their body, they would have to utilize every bit of their Qi to fight and suppress it.

In this case, they might be able to move while suppressing the poison but their speed will be greatly reduced. And in a life and death battle like this, one's ability to move fast is highly crucial. One careless move could be your last. But now this battle-hungry monster was thinking of inhaling this gas on purpose!

Is he mad!?

The lizards didn't only release their poisonous gas, but they moved as they did so. Their speed same as before if not faster. They moved frantically, without a particular direction.

"These lizards.." Nero immediately deduced their plan.

He sneered, " These lizards are smart. From their initial attacks, they knew my speed was not something they could deal with compared to their own. So they decided to release their poison, covering a wide range to limit my movement and possibly kill me in the process…" His face flashed with a wide grin.

Nero stood at a place. Up until now, he had been trying to avoid coming in contact with the poisonous gas. The lizards didn't stop to attack him directly but ran around him, covering him with a cloud of poisonous purple gas. Seeing their target being neutralized by their poison, the lizards became a bit more relaxed. They didn't stop releasing their gas but it was not as maniacal as before.

Suddenly, the eyes of these lizards contracted. The poisonous cloud which was calm before suddenly started to churn violently. What appeared to be a cyclone appeared in multiple places the poisonous cloud. The poisonous cloud churned more violently… and this time around it started to shrink!

A tall figure started to emerge from the cloud of poison, his eyes lit with a ferocious green light that pierced through the layers of this poisonous cloud. The lizards didn't show any sign of fear but from their movements, one could tell that they were surprised. This was meant to be their strongest attack!

The poison from one Bardian dragon was more than enough to deal with anyone even martial artists. But now the combined attack from two couldn't stop this person! The two lizards turned their tails to run away, they didn't know why but their instinct were warning them of foreboding danger.

"You want to leave?... Dream on!" Nero's cold voice echoed from the poisonous cloud. He dashed out from the gas cloud at firmly grabbed unto the tails of the two lizards. With his knees slightly bent forward, the ground around him cracked, and finally exploded when he jumped. Holding firmly unto the tails of these two Bardian dragons, Nero leaped hundreds of feet into the air high above the top of those towering trees and smashed downwards the bodies of these lizards.

At an insane speed, Nero landed on the ground completely smashing the bodies of the Bardian dragons to the ground. The cracks from when Nero jumped grew wider like spider webs and the ground caved in. From the height where they fell from to the force at which they fell, it was unthinkable that these Bardian dragons would survive. Purple blood gushed from their heads, eyes, and mouth. Their death was inevitable. If they had more intelligence they would have known to not engage this monster.

Nero stood there like an unmovable boulder. He had just killed two-level two Bardian dragons and it didn't like he had consumed a lot of energy doing so. The blood from the lizards that touched him burned through his clothes trying to also burn through his skin.

"Even their blood is lethal. I guess it's no surprise since they can release poisonous gases. No wonder that man was concerned, if it was an ordinary martial artist they would be at a disadvantage." Nero glanced at the poisonous blood on his body.

It was truly no surprise that the blood of the Bardian dragon would also contain poison. Some beasts like the Bardian dragon that use poison as an attack mechanism have a place in their body where they form the poison. It could be in form of gas as in the case of their poisonous cloud or liquid form as in the case of their blood. For the Bardian dragon, their blood is the main source of the poison.

If one has direct contact with their blood, then you can as well say your last goodbyes. To achieve maximum advantage, they burn their poisonous blood and release the fumes through the tiny gaps in their scales. If one moved too fast that they couldn't catch up then they would release the poisonous fumes to limit your movement thereby reducing your speed to avoid the poisonous fumes.

If in another case scenario that one was able to inflict any damage that will cause their blood to leak out, then their deaths might be a matter of seconds.
