Aito returned to the State Master's palace after dropping Nero off at his room. Alistaire the Gandor kingdom State Master stood in front of a window with his hands behind his back. And like this, about half a quarter of an hour passed before Alistaire finally spoke up.
"The boy is as strong as you said he was. The power he displayed in the battle was outstanding, and when I tried to probe him just now he was able to restrain the sense that I sent out. But I was still able to sense a deep power sleeping within him, waiting to be unleashed."
When Nero fought those martial artists from the Siel family, he tried as much as possible to restrain as much Qi as he could. However, some of it ended up leaking out and caused a big dread in the arena. The young martial artists thought that it was pressure from the collision of attacks of the two martial artists on stage- Nero, and Situ. And some of them thought it was the power of those State Master level characters to subdue the shockwaves on the stage. But those old martial arts masters could feel the space around Nero tremble. This was a feat where one's power was too solid that it started to affect the space around them. This was the feeling that an unstoppable force was standing in their midst, and it was also possible that the limits of his power was not those Divine Sea Realm martial artist but even to those Grand Cultivation Realm masters!
Nero knew that he had aroused the attention of those old martial arts masters but it could not be helped. He had to also show how strong he was to avoid being looked down on and bullied by those many times weaker than he was. This was a matter of pride and should be treated well. After being given the title 'esteemed guest' Nero felt it was also good because he could use their channels to find the materials he needed to refine potions.
The news of today's battle spread like wildfire to every corner of the Western Earth Kingdom. A foreigner from nowhere bested the top young talents of the ruling powers and claims the spotlight in the top 5 rankings. The only reason that he wasn't called number one was that the top talents weren't present, they were the martial artists of the Reinhart kingdom. They might have an inheritance inferior to the Gandor kingdom but that didn't mean they were weaker in every aspect. The top 3 strongest was from the Reinhart kingdom and they were considered beasts among men. Everyone believed that if those people came, they would have been able to force Nero to use more than one move.
As the news about Nero spread, he was inside his training room. In the training room were three human-sized orbs with markings on their surface. Nero's fingers traced the markings on one of the orbs and it suddenly lit up with a purple light.
"Is this…"
Before Nero could complete his sentence, a shocking pressure suddenly descended on him, forcing him to kneel on one knee. This pressure was unbelievably strong that Nero had to grit his teeth to endure. Nero grit his teeth and placed his hand on the orb again, and the light dimmed with the pressure lifted.
"Gravitation orbs… of course." Nero could barely talk at this moment.
"From the way it felt, it seemed to be six times gravity, and the other two might be the same thing."
Nero looked at himself and sighed, his power had regressed a lot. The pressure from one of these gravitation orbs if put into measurement could be the weight of three giant boulders stacked together. This weight was undeniably much that even those proud sons of heaven would find it very difficult to fend off.
Nero tightened his fists and said, "This is also good. I can use this to train my Gravitation Domain, I feel that its power has regressed too…"
When Nero was wounded, all his abilities and powers were reduced to their most basic state. Take the Dark Domain as an example; its power has been reduced to its most basic form which was a vacuum that spread a few dozen feet away from him. When compared to the Dark Domain he used to fight those Eternal Realm masters, it was nothing more than a joke. Like this, Nero sat down in meditation and started to cultivate.
…
Like this, many days passed and Nero had spent six months in the Gandor kingdom. On this day, with a 'bang' sound, Nero was forced to kneel on one knee. His upper body was naked exposing the outlines of his muscles; they looked refined like they were carved from crystals. His muscles were not thick and heavy, but slender, and his veins bulged like they contained an explosive force within them, waiting to be unleashed. His breath was heavy and his chest heaved heavily like they wanted to take in all the air, and with time the air became thinner than usual.
On Nero, were thigh-sized rectangular iron bars that were wrapped in bandages and strapped to his body. From the looks of it, they weighed about 300 kg each. Close to him were the three gravitation orbs, and one of them glowed with a bright purple light. The pressure from the orb was equal to the weight of three giant boulders stacked together, and then added to the weight of the iron bars that hung from his body; one could see how forceful this training was. Every step he took was filled with so much heaviness that it left dents on the floor. Nero tried to move some more but found it harder to breathe even more and finally lay down. His body was covered with sweat and his breath grew heavier. He closed his eye and started to coordinate his breathing to regain his energy.
