Chapter 50 - A fist against a sword

"Pay no attention to my cultivation, even if a lion hunts a rabbit it stills uses its whole strength to do so. You dare to mock the intelligence of the ruling powers and try to steal from us, daring to also challenge us? Even death is too good a punishment for you!"

The Siel family martial artist continuously slandered Nero over and over again gaining the support of everyone here.

The spectators roared in anger as they heard what the Siel family martial artist said; it was like he voiced out their minds. As these rumors spread, the Gandor kingdom had remained silent about it, which caused a great deal of confusion and made most people believe the rumors. They all asked one question… why would the Gandor kingdom believe such a lie?

As the rumors spread, the only thing the Gandor kingdom did was agree to this challenge. This made people believe the rumors easily.

Was it all a trap by the Black Dragon squad?

Or was this fellow taking advantage of the unfortunate situation the Princess found herself in?

No matter how the question was posed, no one would believe that a grand figure like Aito who was widely known for his accomplishments in the martial world would wholeheartedly give in to this fellow's lies. Not only these people but even some people from the Gandor kingdom had their doubts about Nero, like Prince Galen.

Prince Galen can be considered one of the great talents of the young generation, a proud son of heaven. But even he found it hard to believe that Nero was able to save the Princess. Although he was also at the Early- stage Divine Sea Realm, he was still stronger than Amaya who just made a breakthrough, much less a Late-stage Foundation Establishment Realm nobody. Even though he had these doubts, he still couldn't move against Nero because of Aito, but he hoped to expose him through this match.

The elder official stood in between the two of them, "The rules are simple. Victory is decided by total knockout or making your opponent yield. Killing is prohibited! You may begin!"

At the end of his sentence, the elder official jumped down from the stage leaving only Nero and the Siel family martial artist on the stage. The two of them stood about a hundred feet away from each other.

The Siel family martial artist sneered under his breath, "Your life ends here…"

As he said this, he slowly unsheathed a sword that hung from his waist; there were no rules against using weapons. The sword radiated with a brilliant light; it was surprisingly a middle-class sword! As the sword radiated, the Siel family martial artist had a wide sinister smile spread across his face. Raising the sword in his hand, he slashed out many times…

"Die!!"

Sword Murdering Slash!

In the twinkle of an eye, he slashed out many hundred times and the sword lights interwove, forming a net that came rushing toward Nero at an insane speed. The speed and power of this attack were extreme and deadly. The rule of no killing didn't seem to apply to this attack as it charged at Nero, cutting apart the air itself.

Facing this attack, Nero coldly snorted, "Me… Die? You're not enough to fill the gaps between my teeth."

The attack came rushing towards him but Nero didn't move. Clenching his right fist, his fist issued out popping sounds. The veins on his fist bulged and wound around like worms. One look at it and one could only imagine the power contained within them. Taking a casual fighting stance, he punched out!

Peng!

A fist and countless sword lights directly collided, the sound of metals colliding and breaking clearly resounded through the air in the arena. Dust and rocks floated in the air as cracks suddenly appeared on the stage. Everyone was stunned. This only happened in the blink of an eye and not many people could see the outcome. However, what they could see were the cracks that suddenly appeared on the stage, and the dust was yet to settle so they couldn't see the outcome properly.

"Mmm?"

In the dark chamber of the Gandor kingdom tower, the State Master abruptly raised his brows like his interest was suddenly piqued. The same went for those old Grand Cultivation Realm masters like Aito and Hain, their interest too was suddenly piqued.

The dust lifted a bit revealing the outline of two figures. One seemed to be standing firm like an unmovable boulder, while the other one seemed to lay face flat on the ground. Seeing just this outline alone caused everyone to applaud with pride.

"That martial artist from the Siel family did say that he would take down that fake with only one move. It appears he has the strength to do so!"

"That fake dared to be arrogant in the presence of the ruling powers, humph, if he dies he can only have himself to blame."

It wasn't clear which power these spectators belonged to but one thing was common among them… and that was the hatred for Nero. They were indeed looking forward to seeing Nero's corpse lying on the floor.

Hearing the comments of the nearby spectators, Aito got a bit uneasy. He wasn't clear on what just happened and the Qi fluctuations didn't help his case either. His expression turned grim; this was a disaster. He hadn't just caused the Gandor kingdom to lose face but also sentenced a young promising martial artist to a miserable fate. As he thought this, he looked at the Siel family tower.

"That bastard is indeed shameless!" Aito cursed out loud.

From the start, the battle hadn't been fair; Nero's first opponent was a Divine Sea Realm martial artist. Even if Nero could jump realms to fight, from the thickness of this Siel family's martial artist spirit Qi, he also tended to jump realms too. Facing the two of them in a battle was a cunning strategy that further spread apart their boundaries preventing Nero from ever catching up to him, thereby using absolute force to overpower the opponent. And then the aid of a weapon made this a lot easier.
