The Paradise Sky spill was a top-level pill- a peak high-class Profound grade pill! An item said to be a Profound grade item can absorb Heaven and Earth Qi on its own. Usually, one had to manually infuse their Qi into the item to make it work, but it is not the same for Profound grade items; they are advanced enough to do this on their own. This is also proof that an item truly is a Profound grade item.
