Upon hearing that, Ren's tears flowed freely. "I made it impossible for him to meet his father at that time," Ren said in an unclear pronunciation because he said it while crying. "If I didn't suggest running away--"
"Ren, enough," said Hit. Hit pulled Ren into his arms. He also heard sobs from Ren. He had just remembered that Ren had smiled before him when they were on the cliff. "Keep calm and stop thinking about it, even for a moment. Nothing will change even if we can turn back time."
"But, at least--"
Hit interrupted Ren's words again. "At least what? He might be able to talk to his father. But, we will never see a big laugh from Ozi once. Ozi has been cooped up all day, then watched his father die...."
Ren shook his head slowly. He didn't want to hear any more of that. For him, imagining the suffering that Ozi felt was also suffering.
