"Because they are different. Marrying someone from another race has violated the rules made by our ancestors. It is their fault if they give birth to offspring," said Mauren. Ozi tried to digest the words that came out of his father's mouth. "The result is a disability."
Ozi was almost speechless. That sounded very cruel to Ozi's ears. He had heard all kinds of insults thrown from his father to others. However, this time it was much more painful.
"We can't choose who we are born into. As a child, Ren can only accept that he is of mixed descent," said Ozi passionately.
"This was predetermined from the start. Children born of mixed breeds will be considered cursed!" Mauren said.
"White wingers, black wingers, and other races are the same creature. We are all equally born human."
