Chapter 10 - 10. Faint

"What? I'm not saying I won't, but... How can I help you? I couldn't even fly," he blurted out. She could see Alen's desperate face from the side.

"I'll try to make you fly. In return, you must agree to my terms! "Alen responded in a serious tone. Ren, on the other hand, could only swallow his saliva and be prepared to hear what kind of agreement Alen wanted to make.

Ozi stood in front of his father's desk. He looked down to hear his father admonishing. "Ozi, if you take my place later, I hope you don't break the traditions that have prevailed. One was to remain in the sanctity of the black wing clan," the light of Mauren.

Ozi nodded in understanding. Then he raised his head to look at his father's face. "Dad, there's something I want to ask you," he said hesitantly.

"I'm busy today. You could bring it up the next time," Mauren says, standing up and straightening the tie and the suit. Then, he walks out and turns the door knop.

Ozi stopped his father's move by asking a direct question. "Why are the black wings the offspring of the devil? Aren't they just like us? They are born like us, the same wing shapes, and only the color will distinguish."

Mauren blocked her way out. He had turned the knop and the door was half-open. He shut the door back and turned. "Didn't you learn that at the leadership academy? Of course, that's not the only difference. They have a power of that spirit which cannot be underestimated."

"It has nothing to do with the devil. Doesn't every creature have weaknesses and advantages? But why are you making a big deal out of something that has nothing to do with what you're worried about?" Ozi asked in a somewhat raised tone.

Mauren approached Alen and then clapped her child on the shoulder. "You're too young to understand. The world is not as simple as you think, Ozi," he said as he turned around and walked out of his study.

Ozi pushed through the living room window, where she could see her father's face-to-face with two people. The three of them flew off after a little chat. "Why do they look so serious?"

Ozi decided to follow her father. However, upon opening the front door, nobi was standing with its knocking hand. Then they both stopped staring at each other.

A moment later, nobi clears her throat as she lowers her hand. "Today, did you meet ren?"

"No, uncle," said Ozi with a plain face. "I was just on my way to your house to meet her. You didn't think to look for him here, did you?"

Nobi clapped the forehead. "Oh, my goodness! She couldn't have come here," he said. Ren had not come to mauren's house once, despite having been friends with Ozi since childhood. "Especially if she remembers the incident a few days ago."

"Ren is really not home? Did she run away? "Ozi asked anxiously. He immediately remembered his father's words at Nobi's house. Also, about what the doctor said when ren suddenly felt burning on his wings.

"Ozi, watch your language! Where's she gonna run off to? "

"Ozi saw some passersby watching them with a cynical stare. "Let's talk somewhere else!" Take Ozi.

After that, they went to Nobi's house to continue the conversation. They sat in the living room and sat facing each other. Ozi poured his own drink into a glass, gulped it down. "Uncle, be honest with me! As the person who treated ren since she was a child, you must know a lot about her."

"I don't know what you want to talk about. Just get to the point! "Omel nobi with an annoyed expression. He then poured a drink into the glass and gulped it down.

"Did something happen when ren was little?" Asked Ozi with a serious face.

Nobi shook his palm into the air while laughing inside. "Ahh, it's none of your business. Why would you even ask that? "He asked thoughtlessly.

"Uncle quit stalling. Please tell me about it because it concerns your nephew's life and death," says Alen frustrated.

Nobi immediately started to think hard and opened up to Alen a little. "If so, I will make known to you the things I already know."

Ozi gave a paper that had been folded into sections. Nobi opened it and read it carefully. "Uncle, it's a checkpoint letter from doctor. Yesterday, Ren collapsed when I brought him to the doctor's house."

"Why did he faint? She didn't tell me about it either!"

"She witnessed my father's execution of one of the black wings crossing the border. Yet, for some reason, she whined in pain and said that her wings felt burning," Ozi recalls.

Nobi widened when she remembered something. "Did your father execute by burning the girl alive?" He asked with a worried face mixed with anger.

"Right. I'm sure ren watched the whole process because she was with me at the time, " Ozi explained without hesitation. "The milky doctor says there are no wounds in ren's wings, both inside and out. As I recall, he said it came from ren's own mind."

"During the course of my care, I never once set fire to light. One time, I was lighting candles because the lights went out. As soon as ren saw the little fire, he at the time only two years old shouted with great pain: "light nobi while looking at a piece of candle hanging in the living room that didn't even have time to melt. Ozi joined the wax as she listened.

"Uncle, do you not know the cause? Does Ren know why she got that way? "Ozi asked after hearing an explanation from uncle nobi.

Nobi shook his head. "In the years I searched for answers, the trail of ren's parents who never appeared made me give up more and more. So, let her live here as my niece. It is as if I am his parents' brother, "nobi sighed afterward. "I kept this a secret from ren. So, please don't tell her yet. We can tell him when the time is right."
